Food vs Depression
Has anyone noticed any foods/ingredients that have made their depression worse? I have noticed sometimes too much sugar or carbohydrates make things worse for me. Does that effect anyone else as well? Anything else trigger you?

You know, I haven't noticed anything like that, but now I'm tempted to keep a food diary and experiment.
If you do do that, please let me know, I'd be curious to hear what you discover.
I'm horribly addicted to caffeine and sugar. I can barely function in the mornings and I don't even know if the caffeine helps all that much, but at least it gets me out of bed. I'm going to try to give up sugar, though. I lost 45 pounds last year and gained 30 of it back, so I've gotta do something. It's not the food that makes me depressed, it's the weight gain.
I know that feeling, I need the coffee to help me wake up. I can only have it in the morning, otherwise I can't get to sleep evenings.
I can understand the effects of weight gain. I'm trying to cut the sugar as well. For me though it's the crash after the energy boost from the sugar that adds to the depression.
