A meeting place for 43T and PopClogs members and friends from everywhere.
Welcome and who's here?
How fun, our little dinghy already has some members - but until you post something, we don't know who's here!
So I'll start - hi, I'm Spatz (oh duh) and I've been on 43T since 2011 and on PopClogs since the end of 43T. And this little dinghy was made just in case PC should go down. Not that we hope it.
Hi, welcome, and would you like to share a bit? Hugs!

Hi there, Spatz! I swam over the seas to get here... thank you for sending the life jacket, just in case! (reaches into pocket) I brought us sprigs of lavender to plant in new soil, so we will feel at home here. I have a cast-iron skillet in case any of us want to make chocolate-chip skillet cookies. I will take off my shoes now, pirouette and find out where things are. Hugs!
Welcome dear Rat, welcome! How would it be a dinghy without you here. Let's hope we don't need the second dinghy to replace the dinghy - but the lavender sprigs will hopefully grow and blossom, and chocolate chip skillet cookies are always welcome! Hugs to you and a big welcome!
Dear Spatz, Although the heat outside is fearsome, I shall revel in it late-in-day, as I have noted neighbouring lavenders blooming. They are enticing! Tonight I want to sleep next to a small crystal vase of freshly picked lavender blossoms. Summer can be divine - it's the little once-a-year luxuries. Hugs!
The lavenders seem to like the heat here - the blossoms smell divine! I shall follow your example and pick a few tiny boughs! Hugs from one heat wave here!
Ratopia boasts a cornfield of three stalks, all of which love the heat. New to the garden are tigerlilies. I am hoping to plant some extra for next year. They are surprising me with lovely blooms, even if each only lasts a day. The lavender that spent the winter on my bedroom windowsill loves the heat, too, and is bristling with buds. Since he is a French lavender, I expect him to be at his best in August. I found a tiny red lavender at the grocery store. It has yet to bloom. I don't think I've ever seen a red lavender, dear Spatz!
Heat wave, day two. Hugs!
Our heat wave broke and the rain brought cooler temperatures, and the lavenders look a bit sad. The sun will hopefully restore them soon. Red lavender! I've never seen one! I hope it thrives and grows - what a splendid companion. The tiger lilies will hopefully be great companions. The rain has left and I hope for sun and warmth tomorrow - and I hope for no more heat waves, dear Rat!
Dear Spatz,
Our heat wave broke last night, around the time I spent two and a half hours stuck in traffic on what should have been a twenty-minute journey downtown. I missed one of my ballet classes, but saw a rainbow over the CN Tower. I always say that if I miss out on something, it really wasn't meant to happen and probably prevented something else that was miserable.
In the second class, I asked the teacher if we could have Schubert next week, and he smiled "Yes."
I have to go poking around for a new lavender today, as all the garden centres have end-of-season clearances.
I'm inviting you to share prosecco popsicles tonight, too. Clink-clink!
Ooh, I didn't get a notification! It looks like you only get notifications for the first reply and you'll have to follow your own reply to be notified of answers. Sigh. I'd love a prosecco Popsicle today, really. It's the first evening of our vacation! Clink-Clink!
The heat wave continues, today more oppressively than ever. It might be the best day yet for those prosecco popsicles, dear Spatz! How's vacation going?
Rainy and cold so far, dear Rat. It's beautiful but coming from the heat makes for quite some change. Send us some heat please! Hugs, dear @StaggeringRat!
It was the hottest day of the year. It was so hot the paint I brushed on the porch dried in a minute and then melted. I peeled off at least five degrees Celsius to send you, along with a few rays of sun and nice low humidity, dear @Spatz. I went to a drop in ballet class. It's down on the harbour. There were no breezes, just a still atmosphere, leaden and laden with the lake. We're still in a drought, but I admit I rather like it. Here's hoping you get some good and proper summer weather while you're on vacation!
We had all kinds of weather, dear @staggeringrat. Thanks to your five degrees, we had a mini heat wave in Scotland and it was so lovely! Over 22C outside! Yay!

Ooh, Secret Santa! Wouldn't that be fun!
I love the virtual Secret Santa. Never been able to swing the real actually-mailing-more-stuff-at-holiday-time version.
I joined 43t in 2005. My goodness, I've grown up online!
I was on 43T for I think it was close to 10 years as CelticChristian and 43T went down went to CelticChristian because the messed up Popclog's @ tagging. I think most of you know who I am as I recognize almost every username in The Dinghy.
I was on 43T at least 8 years ago, so I guess that put me at 2009-ish.
Hello all. I'm barely on PC (although my presence is increasing!) so I wonder how Imzy will go?
Hello. I think I was on 43 T since 3/20/20??. I'm currently on Popclogs and my50 (but nobody has done anything there.)
Welcome, @Spyrunner! Oh it looks like we're all on my50 and nobody is doing anything on there!
1920 is a long time
Hi! I'm here, too. Thanks for creating this space, Spatz. :)
-The honeybee formerly known as Clover, from PC and 43T
Welcome, @Honeybee. I'm happy to see you here!
Oh, my. I think I'm here! How do you post something that is not a response to a previous post? Consider me on-line idiot...............Sherlock
Welcome, @Sherlock!
There's a plus just under the banner with a few icons on the side - you can click the plus or the icons for the different kinds of posts!
Hope it works!
Thanks! This is a nice dinghy! Where's the wine...oh, oh, I see the cabinet over there! Excellent choices!
Hi! I'm ''Stephanie'' on popclogs, but that name was already taken here. I heard a few people mention imzy on the site so I thought I'd have a look around. I was on 43things for a few years, but I didn't really get into it, and I can't remember my username (possibly xstephnz). I joined popclogs when I heard 43 things shut down. I have tried just about every bucket list type site and found popclogs to be my favourite, although none fit quite right. I was going to make my own bucket list site, but it would be a huge undertaking. I thought it could be as big as facebook, but now I'm thinking that not that many people are into bucket lists. It would be cool though.
hiya! i was on 43things onn & off since 2005 and have been on poclogs since the 43t ship sank - thanks for the invite :D
Welcome, @pierrot_lunaire!
