I had a bad dream I can barely remember and it's left me feeling uneasy...

I had a bad dream last night. I don't recall the contents of it really.
Just fragments.
But although I can't even recall much of the dream, it's just left an uneasy residue in me all day. Have you ever had that? You cannot remember the dream but you just feel... a little sad, or a little off during the day... because of the emotions this dream stirred in you...
All I can really remember of this dream: there was a swimming pool involved. At someone else's home. And perhaps someone with a chainsaw was moving through this pool. And I was younger (a child?) and waiting for my mother to pick me up: she was really late.
O! Just typing this out brought back another key part of this dream:
I'd overslept and my mother hadn't bothered to wake me and I woke up in the middle of the day and had missed classes. (It has been many years since I've been in any school, fyi.) So, all day I've had this grim feeling, as if worried about trying to make up class time I've missed.

Ugh, I hate when dreams leave you with that uneasy feeling! It's just so difficult to convince your brain that the dream wasn't real, and that everything is okay.
A chainsaw in a pool sounds terrifying.
Yes, it's this strangely nagging feeling -- like something bad happened to me, but I don't remember what it is. And knowing it was just a dream doesn't seem to be having an effect.
