Fallout style D&D
So I've been off and on attempting to rewrite D&D to fit Fallout. I have 3 classes done and I'm working on the fourth along with a general list of all the items and gear. I took out the original skills and attributes and put in the SPECIAL system and some fallout skills. Anybody thinks this is a cool idea?

I did here about that and it was released under a different name due to copyright issues. If I do need it I'll use it but so far I haven't needed it much
Fallout was originally based on the GURPS system, with modifications to make it work as a videogame. Using some of the GURPS sourcebooks would give you a good collection of perks and a solid set of rules around the SPECIAL system that might map more easily to what you're trying to do.
GURPS is on 4th edition now. I don't know what edition was used for fallout, but it looks like they still sell older editions as PDFs:

Since GURPS is the Generic Universal Role Playing System, they've published a ton of materials, none in the Fallout setting, but there are probably things that you could adapt:

And the post-apocalyptic ones only:

Thanks m8 I'll be sure to check those out when I get the chance.
A few people tried making one awhile back, using assets from Fallout 1 and 2: http://falloutpnp.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page Some of the iterations are there but they're somewhat incomplete if you want to use this as a guide at the very least? I tried GMing a game a long time ago using a mix of 3 different versions that I found, and actually attacking was a little complicated.
You can use Human, Synth, Ghoul and Super Mutant as the races, since they are all humanoid but are all very different.
Humans can have increased charisma/armor/opportunities to make up for their lack of radiation/damage/energy resistance and increased stats that the others would have.
can I suggest at looking at Twilight200 as a guide? it is an older game I played when it first came out and it dealt with a WWIII afterwards exsistence and had some of the best weapons stats I have ever seen as I was in the service back then, another good one is old school Gamma World
Years ago they made a Fallout RPG. It never went anywhere but if you want something to base your gameplay on that might be worth looking into.
