Intel Extreme Masters returns to the Bay Area for the third year in a row. After two great events in San Jose, IEM will set new standards at the Oracle Arena in Oakland. At home of the “Golden State Warriors”, the world best gamers will play for the IEM Oakland championship.

FORMAT
CS:GO Format
- Round robin group stage with two groups of six.
- First placed teams in both groups will advance to the semifinals of the playoffs.
- Second and third placed teams in both groups will advance to the quarterfinals of the playoffs.
- Quarter and semifinals will be best-of-three. Finals will also be best-of-three.
LoL Format
- IEM Oakland will begin with a group stage consisting of two groups of four teams and double elimination best of three matchups.
- The four best teams from the group stage will move on to the playoffs which will consist of best-of-three semifinals and a best-of-five grand final.
