McGregor more than doubled PPV buys of entire UFC in 2014
There's a debate around who is the bigger draw in the UFC; Conor or Ronda? Turns out, it's not even close.
McGregor more than doubled PPV buys of entire UFC in 2014
This article is BULLSHIT! McLeprechaun (excluding UFC 205) has yet to draw 1.5 million PPV buys, whatever Dana White says UFC 196 drew between 1.1-1.3 million PPV buys, UFC 202 did even less.
Those are great numbers, amazing even, but the UFC just can't help but lie about numbers because they have to keep perpetuating the "myth".
As for Ronda Rousey, what the writer of this article completely ignored, willfully or not, is that there is a gigantic difference between the PPV's she headlined and the absolute once in a lifetime blockbuster cards McLeprechaun was fortunate to be a part of. UFC 189- Had two title fights, featuring what has historically been the UFC's glamour division (Welterweight), which the UFC used to support McLeprechaun.
UFC 194- Had everything going for it, much like UFC 189, 2 title fights, a massive Middleweight #1 contender bout, and arguably the greatest Middleweight title fight in UFC history, again all in support of McLeprechaun.
UFC 196- Again a Title fight and a #1 contender bout, with an all around solid card, although not as stacked as the previous 2, it had another thing going for it, Nate Diaz!
UFC 202- Another stacked card, full of recognizable fighters and a star in his own right Donald 'Cowboy' Cerrone.
All that to say that the UFC have never pushed/promoted a fighter like they have McLeprechaun, ever!!!
Look at Ronda's headlining cards in comparison and the quality (or lack thereof) and you can see it clear as day, Ronda Rousey is the biggest star in UFC history.
UFC 184- Started out as an amazingly stacked card with yes 2 title bouts, and a couple of potential #1 contender bouts in Jacare Vs Romero at middleweight and Holm vs Pennington, remember the original main event was a Weidman VS Belfort title bout, which at the time had a lot of hype/Buzz around it, Ronda was set to co-headline with Cat Zingano, then the proverbial "shit hit the fan" and both the Weidman/Belfort and Jacare/Romero bouts fell through because of injury. Yet Rousey managed to nearly generate 700K PPV buys on her own.
UFC 190- The less said about that card the better, the UFC didn't even bother promoting anyone or anything on that card apart from the main event.
UFC 193- That was probably Ronda Rousey's best promoted card, with that amazing video promo featuring Rousey and Holly Holm, which deserves an award in my opinion. Yet the card was pretty underwhelming in many ways, apart from the two main events, which were excellent, and Robert Whitaker.
Here's my opinion, and I'm sticking to it!

Should've written this as an article mate seriously good points.
I'm really getting sick and tired of all the bullshit
