Do you post/comment anon more often than not?
I comment anon more often than not. I post anon more often than not. Exceptions are Haikyuu HQ and cranky old fangirls (under this pseud anyways). I don't know if it's a good thing.
On one hand, I feel more comfortable commenting in a big/unfamiliar comm if I comment anon.
But on the other, I'm not building familiarity/relationships with other users on Imzy by doing so (and I realise it's kinda... handy? Important? because I recognise other users and am happy to see them commenting).
Also, there's one comm where i mixed up (this) fandom pseud with another pseud, so i might be commenting anon there from now on //sigh.
Just wondering how people feel about anon, and how we might use that in comms (I'm thinking Haikyuu anon confessions??? IDK yet)

I'll reset your profile name in a community, if you message me via the "chat with us" button.
There are some caveats to this though:
Oh thanks! I'll get on that :)
I tend to post anon in this comm, because I mod multiple communities under different names and could only sign up with one here. And in main Imzy comms like /feedback for similar reasons - I'm often talking about things that affect all my different profiles at once, or just a different one than the one I'm logged in with.
I also go intermittently anon on fandom comms when dealing with explicit/personal topics, or in big non-fannish comms talking to someone who looks potentially wanky. But if there's no potential for TMI or drama I use my main fannish pseud pretty much everywhere.
I actually think it's good when more people post anon, though, because it makes other people who might be only comfortable posting that way more willing to join in. It can feel weird being the only one posting anon when everyone else is using their name, especially outside of fannish spaces where anonymity is more normal.
