Game of Thrones season 6 opinions
What is everyone's opinion of GoT season 6?
Personally I was disappointed, I felt the screenwriters ruined it by aiming for the final episode and restricting the actions of all characters in order to bring it about.
The Dornish kill Cersei and Jamie's daughter and they did nothing so Daenerys Targaryen could join up with the Dornish.
The High Sparrow imprison and humiliate Lannisters and Tyrells yet their armies do nothing so the High Sparrow can be blown up by Cersei.
Cersei lets her son be suborned by the High Sparrow so there could be a big boom and her son would try to fly in the final episode.
Arya goes through her second season of the bloody awful Braavos arc in order to get revenge in the last episode (which was pretty cool.) Arya and the Hound was probably my second most enjoyable story arc while it was going on (after Tyrion), to have her boring me spitless for almost 2 seasons is infuriating.
Sansa didn't say an army of reinforcements was coming. I still don't know why not.
Ramsay Bolton puts an arrow into a dying giant rather than a defenseless Jon Stark because the screenwriters wanted him to die.
There were also the boring bits.
The sanctimonious bloody High Sparrow, even more boring than Arya in Braavos.
Tyrion, the best character, utterly wasted for the entire season, in fact used farcically such as when he unrealistically freed the dragons.
There were also the missing bits.
Bronn! A burst of fresh air when he finally returned.
Not enough Littlefinger. (OK I admit this is probably just a personal feeling and others don't find him as much fun as I do.)
I don't have only complaints. I absolutely loved episode 6 Blood of my Blood where every character involved brilliantly and insightfully did things that they wanted to do. I was astonished by the 8.4 rating on IMDB, 2nd lowest of the season, discovering conclusively that I look for things that others don't. Sansa became very interesting and the Battle of the Bastards was great fun.

Season 6, The Battle of Bastards was the best episode. Really had my pulse going at a 100 for a while. You're right about Dany's storyline, its like nothing really happens with her. She is a conquerer, which was great the first time, but it was like the show was repeating itself with her, so it got boring.
But it was fun to see Arya's growth, when you think of her as the little girl we first got introduced to and how she ended up in season. I'm really hoping for a reunion in season 7!
FYI I marked this post as having spoilers for those who haven't seen it yet. :)
I know for me personally Dany's storylin was a little "Oh here we go again" with her walking out of the fire and all.
Thanks. Definite spoilers.
Obviously the chiefs of the Dothraki are too stupid to know when they are standing in accelerant and the best way to choose a new chief to follow is a naked chick who can't burn.
Very pretty but utterly absurd.
