I've finished Sword of Shannara, now on to Elfstones!
Just finished an advance of White Hot from Ilona Andrews, the second book in the Hidden Legacy series. I really enjoy their lead characters - talented but perhaps outclassed, determined to do the 'right' thing, battling past potentially insurmountable odds to victory.
Next up is Maria Snyder's Dawn Study. I loved Poison Study, the initial book in the series. The rest of the series hasn't been as memorable for me; but I like the initial characters enough to follow the story.
The Three Kingdoms (Chinese Classic - Historical Novel)
Which retelling or translation? This is a great epic story!
Translated by Moss Roberts I'm really enjoying it! Yes Epic, absolutely!
I think I'm going into Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, this weekend
Always a good choice!
Hoping to finish Ken Liu's "Wall of Storms" and probably some stories from Iraq + 100 or POC Destroy Fantasy.
Just finished Wall of Storms myself, it was so good!
I'm starting Oathbreaker by J.Kathleen Cheney, but I also just got Ilona Andrews Magic Shifts from the library, so I'll be diving into that one soon too. :)
I started the Lightbringer series by Brent Weeks. So far so good.
I seem to be doing all my fiction reading on weekdays these days, for some reason. This week I re-read The Curse of Chalion, just because.
And I wandered into a book shop and they had both of the minisequels to American Gods in illustrated standalone editions, so I bought those (and then got a case of sticker shock when I realized how much they cost). I don't know when I'll get around to reading them, though. I'll probably want to re-read American Gods first.
Just busted the budget at a bookstore last night! Some are going into Christmas parcels (Gemina, some kid detective fiction series) but I'm reading (not fantasy)- Marcus Aurelius' Meditations, and a dictionary of obscure emotions. Also 'How Proust Can Change Your Life'.
Arcanum Unbounded is on the agenda this weekend! Always love some Sanderson!
I'm still reading What's Bred in the Bone by Robertson Davies
Not fantasy, but it's what i'm reading
