A place to talk about anything Fantasy related. Really it can be anything from books, video games, artwork to film!
Who is going to re-read Memory, Sorrow and Thorn before the 2 new books in 2017?
Tad Williams has been buggering around for over 2 decades on series I don't like after writing one of the greatest fantasy series of all time in Memory, Sorrow and Thorn. I am certainly excited to have new adventures on Osten Ard and will of course be re-living old ones before the new ones start.
AFAIAC a lost David Gemmell book with Druss or Waylander coming to print would exceed a new Osten Ard book but not much else could.

I read them over 20 years ago and loved them at the time, so I might re-read them, but I'm still working my way through the Wheel of Time (at a rate of about one book every couple of years...).
Sean - some of them may know of it but not yet have read it. The poll is missing options for "planning to read, haven't yet" and "read, was okay but whatever" and "read, but can't recall a thing clearly".
Me, I read it. I know I liked it. I could not tell you now one plot point or character, though, nor did I know there were now more coming out.
That makes me feel better, not enough options is far better than that the series that I would would describe as a huge critical and commercial fantasy success just before Wheel of Time redefined the word success is unknown to readers under 35.
Didn't realize there were more coming, thought he was done with that world for good.
There isn't an option for "I know what it is but I haven't got around to reading it the first time yet".
This is genuinely disgraceful. 8 out of 10 people voting haven't heard of one of the seminal works of epic fantasy. I guarantee every epic fantasy author that you do read has read and hoped to match Tad Williams' masterpiece.
