Cursor disappearing in the text editor
I was just making a post in one of my communities when my cursor suddenly dissapeared. I thought the text box had frozen or something, or maybe gone to preview by mistake. I tried clicking back and forth to and from preview but that didn't help. I thought I'd have to resign myself to copying the text from the preview, reloading the page, and reentering the other fields, but then it turned out I could in fact still use the editor. My cursor was just gone. This continued for the rest of my time writing the post. (I'm now making this unrelated post in this community and my cursor is fine.)
I'm on the website on a Mac laptop.

This happens to me from time to time, usually after I insert an image into a post. Mac, Firefox.
Oh, huh. (I haven't tried inserting images so I don't know if that would effect things for me too).
I insert images into Text posts so I can use more than one image. Happens then, most often. I think I've also had it happen when inserting an image into a comment, but I can't promise because the ol' noggin isn't what it used to be. 😉
Sorry about this! This is a known safari bug :(
Since your on a mac in settings under accessibility> display check the shake the mouse pointer to locate check box. If your mouse disappears again does it show up again after moving your mouse back and forth? It should become larger after moving the mouse back and forth then show up again.
No, my mouse didn't disappear, the cursor did (the thing that looks like a | and shows where you're typing). But thank you for advice (oh is that why my mouse gets bigger s/t?)
Oh sorry, I thought you meant mouse not the cursor thing in the text box. But that feature for the mouse was introduced in El Capitan.
