The more I think about it, the less of a difference I see in the way the Middle East and the West treat women who say they were raped, with the (sometimes) exception of the former culture being more lethal in its reprisal.
Oh so it's like that whole thing where even if you get punched in the face by someone in class you still get suspended even if you didn't throw a punch! Cause those work so very well and don't punish innocent victims at all.
Well that's a fucking awful thing to say to an alleged assault victim, nice going Officer.
Besides, the reason most rape victims don't try to fight back is because they're afraid their assailant will decide to kill them instead.
Women and girls should report it if they get sexually assaulted or raped. That's what I would do! Says every MRA ever.
And what did this girl do? Oh, she did report it..
But but, the MRAs say that will make everything all better!
The Peachtree Ridge resource officer who first questioned the victim set the tenor of the school’s investigation when he asked her:
insistently to perform a re-enactment of the scene ...
were completely inappropriate and outrageous.
Next: supending her when she self-reported the incident as a sex crime is completely indefensible.
Finally and most importantly: Schools should not be investigating and/or punishing rape It should immediately be reported to the police.
Called it halfway into the headline. I'm not even surprised anymore.
