Men's Rights Redditors predict a dystopian gynocracy under President Hillary Clinton

Men's Rights Redditors predict a dystopian gynocracy under President Hillary Clinton

I sometimes lie awake at night imagining the eldritch horrors of a Trump presidency. Men's Rights Redditors, by and large, seem pretty stoked by the possibility. No, what keeps them awake at night is the thought of Hillary Clinton behind the desk in the Oval Office.

A person I once knew (there needs to be a shorthand for that) once came up with the idea of doing an open mic dramatic reading of local newspaper comments. It would have been awesome. Let's find an example...

"This is called covering their butts! plain and simple. Kind of like politicians. They would have to let workers go and the gravy train would run low on money. The medical community that support findings for medicinal use should be up in arms.  Bit they  can't for fear of being in trouble with feds. Look how they run scared of the opiate issue. Not one of the idiots at the fed level is using a lick of common sense. And the doctors stand around wringing their hands waiting for their next command from the CDC and the DEA. Doctors used to think for themselves. But not anymore. They are now controlled by the corporation, first, then the DEA and the CDC. What the hell has happened to the AMA!!! AND please don't forget the FDA! LOL"

Meanwhile, Trump has declared himself the “law and order candidate.” And decades before he decided to run for president, he famously took out a full-page ad in New York’s Daily News demanding the death penalty for the five teenagers — all of them black or hispanic — who were thought to have carried out the brutal rape and beating of a Central Park jogger. Turns out these then-kids were innocent; the real rapist confessed to one of the five in prison, and DNA evidence confirmed his story, after the now-adult five had spent a collective forty years in prison. Had Trump had his way they would have been killed at the hands of the state that had wrongly convicted them.

This would be Trump's America. An interesting bit from the linked article:

The Daily News reprinted that ad on Saturday, next to Trump’s new op-ed. Perhaps he feels that he got a good deal, having the ad run again for free; there is no contrition in what he has to say now. The settlement, which Mayor Bill de Blasio had said, in his campaign, he wanted to get done, gives each man about a million dollars for each year he spent in jail. (Together, that was forty years.) Trump wrote on Saturday that this was “a disgrace”; he said that he’d talked to a detective who called it “the heist of the century.” How much would Donald Trump pay to not spend a single year in jail? He doesn’t mention Reyes; he talks about police “blunders” as if they were all in the teen-agers’ favor—“The recipients must be laughing out loud at the stupidity of the city.” Does he imagine that it must be obvious to them, as it is to him, that the decades of their lives weren’t worth much anyway? He wrote, “These young men do not exactly have the pasts of angels.” At fourteen years old, one doesn’t have much of a past to speak of; what one might have is a future. Or is an angel, for Trump, someone who stays in a hotel with a lot of gold paint on the wall?
