all things f/f!
What Would You Like To See?
Now that we're up and running (571 members as of now! I can't believe it!) what would you all like to see as events or regular posts on Femslash Frivolity, and would be useful to you as f/f fans?
Currently we don't have ticky boxes so if you choose your most desired option, and maybe mention any others that catch your fancy or you want to see in the comments!
Thanks <3
*Like, say, "What's Your Femslash OTP?" or "Favourite F/F Dynamics?"

I like all of these things! I've never really been involved in the community aspect of fandom so these all seen pretty cool! Themed recs are what I chose because I usually see them for M/M pairings and never for F/F.
I also picked ship manifestos because I love them and wish they'd make a comeback. I'm also interested in themed/by medium recs and a pairings tournament.
All of these options are great. I chose ship manifestos because I really want to see them make a resurgence (and am slowly slowly working on one for my tiny rare otp).
That's awesome! I, too, have a deep abiding love of ship manifestos - I pressed the join button SO FAST on /shipmanifesto - and would love for them to make a comeback. I wish you success with your work in progress, may it trip many people into shipping your tiny rare OTP :D
I like all the things that were suggested as (Regular). I'm not sure what you meant by both Events though.
I voted themed Recs, because those, in my experience, often bring up canons and fandoms I wouldn't otherwise have expected or tried out.
A pairings tournament would basically be nominating femslash pairings, campaigning for your favourites, and voting on them in pairs until we have a top femslash pairing. I really enjoyed the Woobie-Off on Fail Fandom Anon, so this would be a similar idea.
An Imzy f/f fanworks fest would be creating femslash works (possibly by soliciting prompts) and posting/crossposting them to Imzy specifically, maybe over a fortnight or month, to celebrate femslash and jump-start more fandom activity here.
Ooooh, I'm on board with this. Especially the Tournament.
I said prompts post, but I'd love a discussion post too.
I think these all sound great, especially the Imzy Fanworks Fest! My only hesitation with the pairings tournament is that I think those can get a little competitive and since it's such a Struggle to find femslash already, I want to encourage every fandom and pairing I can! That said, it would be cool to see which pairings are popular. I have definitely adopted a couple ships just because of their popularity and ease of finding fics!
I figure a pairings tournament is good way to make a variety of femslash pairings known to members through nominations and campaigns, and in good fun. I know I've found out about characters and pairings I never would have considered before through similar events (shout out to Vanyel's Campaign Manager's tireless efforts in the FFA Woobie-Off!)
I'm currently getting things ready to do themed recs and ship manifestos, but hopefully the Imzy f/f fanworks event can get off the ground later when I have some free time!
Well themed recs and ship manifestos will be a lot of fun, so I'm excited for those! :D
I've actually been planning to write some stuff for some of my ships--like a little about why I like them in an open-ended way that hopefully results in discussion? I should get on that! I don't think it was going to be as formal as a manifesto though, I guess it'd be more aimed at people who already ship it than selling people on a new ship if that makes sense?
The stuff in question here is all just to organise at my end as comm leader (with like, a regular schedule and format etc) which aren't even in the planning stages yet.
Your informal ship manifestos/posts sound like exactly the kind of thing that members would enjoy as they are! (I know I would.) I'm honestly ECSTATIC every time a contributor posts here as well; have I made you one yet? If not I can do that now so you're ready when you want to post, if you'd like :)
Oh, I didn't realize I had to be made a contributor to make posts--in which case, yes, sign me up! Haha, good thing I mentioned it first then!
