Debate: Stargate: Universe is the best Stargate
I will die on this nerd hill. I tried so hard to get into SG-1. I even tried skipping to Atlantis for some sweet Jason Momoa. But it was all so so cheesy. Like, worse than Star Trek cheesy. And I love me some Star Trek cheese. I even love Voyager for all its flaws. But I could not do Stargate until SGU.
Thoughts? Opinions? I know this is not a popular opinion to have so I expect some lively discussion.
I'm doing a rewatch right now so I'm feeling particularly passionate at the moment, hee.

I enjoyed the original movie, and I watched several seasons of SG1. I never got into Atlantis; by that point I was of the opinion it was a bit over saturated. I really enjoyed Universe though. I think the reason Universe was so short lived is that it appealed to those of us that didn't really get into the other Star Gates, while not appealing as well to those that were huge fans of franchise. It was more insular, less 'random adventure' and more character focused. I agree that it was the best of all the series, given how short lived it was.
