Balance - Therapy and Introspection and Focus

Balance is my Unicorn. Since I am approaching my life with the substory that magic exists I have also decided that the weapon I will need is Balance, whatever form that takes, part of my story will be the quest to find Balance so I can defeat the darkness.

One part of the process of therapy and self-care is the focus on oneself to cope, mature coping tools and techniques, and develop healthy habits. Unfortunately these things do not happen instantly. I keep finding myself talking about me, possibly even to the exclusion or alienation of others I am conversing with. I do not want to reinforce any habit of making myself the focus of every situation or conversation. There is a certain amount of selfishness involved with getting better but ... balance. Widening my focus back out when it narrows.

I use my experiences to learn and improve so sometimes I think my .... timing? ... could be better. Remember that other people will have other contexts.

Finding balance in my empathy for others, don't go so far as to let them pull me down but don't step so far back as to lash out.

Avoid bouncing between extremes.
