This is a little bit out of the ordinary for me. But I started recording a normal podcast, and this came out of me. So I cut it out, and thought I would share it as a separate entity. My grandmother gifted me with two huge skeins of yarn and a great bag. The yarn was acrylic and I really didn't feel a great amount of appreciation for it because of that. I didn't appreciate that she found out I was knitting and took the time to pick up some yarn ( or maybe she already had it, whatever ) and put it in a great bag and made sure I would get it. Given how often I get/make things for people then don't even get those things to them, that really deserves a lot more appreciation than I gave it.
I also realize that, I avoid celebrating so many things including gifts in general. Which means that I probably reduce the happiness other people get from giving me those gifts. This all definitely deserves some more reflection.
Take a moment and reflect and be thankful and celebrate something.
Love, M
