AMUSE ME, SMALLGODS
I'm very seriously falling asleep at work. Book release + filthy assistant with the plague + unpacking + new bunnies + building furniture means I am dead on my feet.
What's going on today? What are you working on? Doing?
What interesting things exist in this world, o deoderized meatsacks?

Laundry, Star Wars, and general laziness. Oh, and making plans for our first anniversary :D
Happy anniversary! Wanna do MY laundry too? :D
Thanks, it's not until January though. We got married on a beach on Kauai, so now my mission is to find a decent pina colada in the dead of winter in BC. A daunting quest, to be sure.
I'll do your laundry if you pull the weeds out of my garden.
I'm doing laundry, but it's very exciting laundry. There are numerous, conflicting color combinations and water temperatures. There may even be bleach and air drying involved. Something could go wrong at any moment. What if I run out of quarters?! Stay tuned.
MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU.
I used to bulls-eye delicate loads with the Maytag back home. It wasn't much harder than this.
I watched some football, now I'm commenting here while I play Fire Emblem. I did ALL the laundry yesterday so I'm going to write this afternoon. My current WIP is about a socialist revolution but with mages n' magic n' boys kissing n' cool words like cuirassiers.
WHY IS EVERYONE SO MUCH ON TOP OF THEIR LAUNDRY EXCEPT ME??
Basically Saturday is laundry day. All day. Nothing else. Never.
Took the silly biggest cat to the vet to look at a fatty tumor above his eye that, the tumor isn't the problem, but he managed to tear off all the skin from the top of it. So now we have to feed him antibiotics so it doesn't infect while it heals. Le sigh.
But since that was early in the morning most of the rest of the day has been napping and writing/editing. I was going to clean the office today but nope. Or at least not without some dinner.
Ohhhh, cats.
Yay, napping and writing! You're doing great.
We have five of them inside and care for a feral colony of three that winter under my house. This is the first time their galumphing has resulted in a vet visit though!
We shall persevere and achieve great things.
Today was - process the bushel of corn, saving the silk to dry for tea and the husks to make dolls and such day. Also be the place the kittens nap day.
The second part of that was full of purrs.
I hope your day became less fragrant.
That sounds loverly!!
And so it was.
Well... I'm proofing the endnotes to a cryptography book. Notes that the PE and I have agreed will probably never actually be read by a human, because in the print edition there are no markers in the text that any of these notes exist.
Maybe someone will look at them in ebook. I dunno how often people check endnotes in ebooks.
Really, most of these should have been unnumbered footnotes, with endnotes for citations...
Also, I seem to be generally annoying people with my opinions today, so it may be best if I stop trying to have any.
Some days are extra decision-y, huh? Good luck with your notes! I'm sure there are people who are the type that read all the way through. Fantasy's big on appendices, too.
They might read them through if they knew they were there. But they won't until they've read through the rest of the book first.
And by that point, all the notes that say things like "You'll see this in future chapter X" are totally pointless.
I feel there was just some bad design decision-making up front with this thing.
I've been doing housework and cooking, gone pokemon hunting with friends and tried to figure out what the hell is wrong with my laptop battery. I've also been doing some thinking about the next books in my series since I didn't have the attention span for editing this evening.
Busy busy! I am so envious of everyone doing housework. >.> Does somebody want to come over and do MY housework? <.<
There was quite a lot of being lazy in between times!
