Frozen FuFo for oral surgery patients?

In [this post] in the Soylent forums, user chrimsonchlover says,

I just got a tonsillectomy and have stocked up on Soylent... Froze it into an ice tray and it's really good frozen, like almond milk-y sorbet.

This seems like a really great idea! I had a relative who had a bad reaction to chemotherapy that caused the loss of all the skin inside his mouth, causing extreme pain. For days he could only tolerate ice water or ice cream. A similar problem can occur to anyone who has serious oral or maxillofacial surgery.

In all such cases, you could take any smooth-textured meal replacement and freeze it into a slush and get real nutrition that was also soothing and refreshing.
