Talk about engineered food: Soylent and its many spinoffs, lab-grown meat, untraditional nutrition of all kinds!
Joylent re-brands itself

As described in this corporate blog post, the highly successful Fufo maker formerly known as Joylent is changing its name to "Jimmy Joy".
our name looks a lot like a very well known powdered food company in California. ... 2.5 years and almost 5.000.000 meals down the road, we are clearly no single person company that sells some meals to friends and family anymore. So after a small dispute with our colleagues in the states we have decided to change our name to (drumrolls)... Jimmy Joy.
Besides the new name, they intend to improve in the following ways:
We aim to have complete 5 day coverage throughout the world before the year is over.
We are outsourcing US fulfillment in Chicago which will enable us to offer all US customers standard free shipping
And new flavors, and "just maybe... a completely new product" -- one would suppose he means a ready-to-drink version.

Back when the Aids epidemic first became widely known, there was a popular rap song about "jimmy hats" which were condoms. One of the lines was "jimmy hats are now in style, 'cause you can't trust a big butt and a smile".
FYI, on Reddit they are having a field day mocking the new name. It seems (I didn't know this) that "jimmy" is in some places a euphemism for "penis", so "Jimmy Joy" takes on all sorts of connotations, or as /r/ChouPigu said,
Rimshot.
A Joylent spokesperson "Nino_Joylent" claims,
/r/DBFries say,
Totally agree that they needed to be renamed. Sounded like a Soylent parody before.
Had no idea about that euphemism though :0
