Do You Even Soylent? And What Even Is It?

Dear Reader have you ever heard of Soylent? If you move in certain circles you may have while others remain blissfully unaware of it. Soylent is a food obsession particularly among techies. Designed to be the solution to freeing up time, controlling calories and improving allover health it has a strong following.

"Not Quite Nigella" is a perky Australian food blogger and author. In the linked blog post she presents several recipes for making interesting foods from Aussielent: cheesy crackers, a savory bread or pizza dough, lasagne, shortbread, cookies, muffins and a bar.

Some are more successful than others (of the shortbread: "I'd make it again"; of the bar: "it could be used for construction, or as a weapon") but all are more inventive than anything I've seen on the Soylent forums, and presented clearly and with amusement and enthusiasm.

The Huel people have a cook book with comparable ideas, but it is not as fun to read as Not Quite Nigella's post.
