"I wish I made it sooner"
Ever have a great idea for a game that you were upset to find out already existed?
I was really heartbroken when I realized "Hey You, Pikachu" existed. I thought the market was in need of a "scream into a microphone to do things" game.

I don't tend to think like that. I think by and large, what makes a great game isn't a great idea, but rather great execution. Hey You, Pikachu and Seaman both use the same mechanic, but the games feel differently. So you can still get into it and bring your own flavor if you'd like, stand out that way. In this industry, being first doesn't automatically make you the winner.
I was crushed when EA stole my golden ticket and started adding the "skill stick" to sports games (control sticks control your actions. e.g., right stick = right boxing glove).
I think all my teenage ideas have been jacked by now, but it will all be worth it when Nintendo finally announces that MMO Pokemon game I spent weeks planning...
