Gaming! So many games, not enough posts!
Anyone else notice this?
What happened to T-rated games?
It's hard to imagine a video game industry without teenagers. For decades, movies and TV shows have presented gaming as emblematic of adolescence. For just as long, adults who play have struggled to distance themselves from the stereotype of the juvenile gamer.

When I play a video game, often I am trying to escape the stress and darkness in my life, not find more of it as I decapitate zombies and evade the police with a stolen car (courtesty of many M-rated big-budget games). Does anyone else miss the lack of well-developed T-rated games?

I feel like there is still a large T-rated market. I just looked at Gamestop's website and I saw tons of great T games like:
Mirror's Edge Catalyst
Overwatch
Uncharted 4
Dark Souls 2
Batman Return to Arkham
No Man's Sky
and a ton more.
I would not have recurved uncharted to be T.
What about strategy games, like XCOM or an RPG such as Skyrim? Those are some good games.
I'm pretty sure Skyrim is M. I could be wrong, though.
It is.
Maybe it is :P I've haven't looked at the rating in a while. But it doesn't feel M, it's not that gory and there isn't heavy cursing. Ah well, ESRB and Pegi are weird sometimes.
You see people get decapitated 2 minutes into the game. I would consider that pretty gory.
Oh. :P I don't remember that... maybe it's because I play on lowest settings that it isn't that gory.
Totally agree about strategy games. Sadly, after playing many of them for a while(absolutely love XCOM), a change of genre is nice. Such as an action game like Tomb Raider. Except now even Tomb Raider features beheadings, swimming through blood rivers, and fending off rapists. A bit too heavy for me. Used to be one of my favorite franchises.
