Gaming! So many games, not enough posts!
Nostalgia post

Which old games are you loving all over again?
Brought to you by getting Princess Maker 2 Refine on Steam--I wasted so much of my university life trying to make Olive a lumberjack in the 90% translated version on DOSbox.
Sword of the Samurai is also as awesome as I remembered it, and I am playing the Phantasy Star games for the first time (never had a Sega console). And Deadline! My original copy was so awesome, it came with phsyical ephemera like evidence bags with crushed pills sealed in them.
What old classics are you rediscovering thanks to GOG, Steam, Nintendo Virtual Console, PSX emulation on the Vita, et. al?

Not everybody is thrilled by the remake, but playing the updated FFVI has been a trip down nostalgia lane for me
So pleased with it <3
Me too
I've been slowly replaying Final Fantasy 9 via the iOS port. It's the only FF game I've ever liked and it's hitting me right in the nostalgi-feels.
Oh My God, I had no idea Princess Maker 2 was on Steam! I played the heck out of that game in the early 2000s since my PC couldn't handle much. grabby hands
It has pretty graphics! Voice acting! And my damn princess was a dancer again, but we'll see this time. relentlessly makes her farm
Also they are apparently gong to translate 3-5!
flails That's FANTASTIC news!
It is like ancient dreams coming true!
Every few years I like to break out the Sega CD 32X and play through Sewer Shark. On of my faves that I would love to see cleaned up with new tech.
Not "rediscovering" so much as starting to play now, but the old RTS games from the late 90's and the 2000's, like the total war games and command and conquer, I love those strategy games man!
Command and Conquer was my bread and butter in the 90s. Red Alert 2 is my favorite of the series and had an amazing soundtrack.
Suikoden is still one of my favorite PlayStation RPGs. Great mix of characters, collection, and base building. Tons of fun.
It's on my pile of shame, must dig it out.
