Has anyone watched The Grand Tour, which is essentially a reboot of Top Gear? I've heard awesome things and I liked Top Gear so it's on my watchlist.

I love how the current star citizen galactic tour is a parody of this
Yes! It sounds like the same guy too or am I just crazy?
It is the same guy, has been since the galactic. Gear m50 commercial
Ok I thought so, it looked and sounded like him so I figured it must be him.

Someone at cig seriously liked top gear and honestly I feel that things like this just add an authentic feel to the universe
It's such a natural evolution for a top gear like show which is why I think helps make in authentic.
Hopefully we get things like this that can be streamed to ships monitors while in comm array range and infact it would be epic if you could also browse the web in them, it's probably too much of a wish but can you imagine being able to stream Netflix to a big screen in the back of your Connie and sitting with a bunch of guys in game watching Netflix? Probably 0 chance of that happening but it would be awesome, with the idea of a pool table in the Polaris there's other possibilities people haven't even though of yet like chess, checkers, etc but also just imagine if you can place simpods aboard a ship and some people can play ac or sm while you cruise from system to system. All good ideas I think because some of these trips will be quite long and I expect a lot of it to be humdrum moving through space .
That would be amazing. There are the news van type ships so what if they have a special camera setup that they can allow people to tune into? This is a concept I've had for a while and I'm working on a project that I personally think is awesome but I'm still a bit from being ready to reveal it.
Yea the news van is a bit confusing of an idea for a dedicated ship so idk.
Yeah which is why I'm wondering if it'll have some type of actual capabilities to broadcast which is why it's a special ship.
Idk, I'm just hoping for actual live videos on monitors that others can see and not just the person in the chair. It's a hope but hey after seeing them actually do entire planets idk if its out of the realm of possibility
Well they have said that we should be able to see what they're doing such as adjusting shields and such so IF live video got added then I assume it would work, which would be just awesome.
It would be amazing to be able to sit and watch videos from the same screen
Yeah, I don't think it would honestly be that hard technical wise, but they may limit access for legal reasons. I'm sure Netflix would say that sharing a screen would be the same thing as watching in a public place with others.
Which I can sit on my couch and watch Netflix with others so idk it should be a thing
Well that's in your house. I'm not 100% clear on the legal fine print, but I know at our game store we can't watch movies. However, it's not like allowing a web browser means RSI is specifically allowing Netflix so it may be fine. It just depends on how cautious they are.
Which is why I say that I wish it was possible, it's probably not but stranger things have happened.
