Apparently Wands in the 1920s Potterverse Were Really Ugly

Official replica versions of wands from the upcoming Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them movie are available for you to buy now. And all of them look like a stiff wind would break them in half. In the original Harry Potter movies the wands mostly looked like sturdy sticks with some handles carved into them.

Do you agree with their assesment?

    What? Noooo. I see:

    1. Art Deco (the 'stripped classical') genre wands
    2. Art nouveau wands (anything with an even slight nod to the 'whip lash' design motif)
    3. Interwar frugality wands

I personally like the wands. Newt Scamander’s wand catches my eye, it's not too fancy but not too plain. I really like Seraphina Picquery’s Wand and I could see some evolution of it - possibly with a blue crystal being awesome for me... If I was a wizard.

Blue crystal! Oh Zach. You're such a fancy pants wizard. I'd be going for all the gnarled dark wood numbers.

Haha yeah although I'd like to see both incorporated together. Sort of like Radagast's staff in wand form.
