Nintendo Switch Could Be a "Game-Changer" That Expands Gaming's Audience, GameStop Says
After the Wii U underperformed, retailer GameStop appears to be optimistic about Nintendo's Switch console. Speaking during an earnings briefing today, CEO Paul Raines revealed that he played the console and came away impressed. "The Nintendo Switch, which I played at Nintendo a few weeks ago--we believe could be another game-changer that will expand the audience for gaming," the executive said.
I agree, I think the Switch could spice things up. Gaming laptops are still expensive and having something that’s ultra-mobile and cheap give the Switch an edge. The latest generation of Consoles are essentially gaming PCs and beyond exclusive games don't bring anything unique to the table. Playstation does have its VR system now which is the most cost effective enthusiast level VR product, but the Switch is something else entirely. I'm not sure if I'm a huge fan of the controllers but the idea is awesome.

I have owned a Wii u since day one, never really wanted a Wii, I really.like the Wii u proncontroller shape and placement of sticks but idk about the switch. It seems outlandish , then again I'm mostly a pc guys, only do ninty for ninty games.
Yeah I pretty much only play the PC, but I'm looking at this for a LAN type gameplay as getting everyone to bring their rigs is a pain.
Never done much LAN stuff , but I have done quite a bit couch multiplayer lol. Still most of that devolves into super alike vball on the nes with the 4 player attachment
We used to do LAN like crazy but we all have desktops not laptops now and most console games don't support 4 player splitscreen so we rarely do it anymore.
Yea, most of the ninty games still do though which is nice, a bunch of the Wii u games were actually five player splitscreen
Yeah some Wii games are about all we do locally anymore.
