Welcome to Harmontown, a place to discuss the eponymous podcast and related sundries.
How do we keep this place from turning into /r/harmontown?
So, many of us have fled from the Harmontown sub on Reddit. I'm wondering what, specifically, we're going to do to keep the Imzy community from turning into the same dumpster fire (e.g. complaints about specific audience members, whingeing about Kumail's absence or Erin's presence, concern trolling about Dan, complaints about complaints, etc.). Any ideas?

Don't worry too much about it. Just have a good time.
I think our best bet for now is to foster an environment of appreciation for harmontown (and it's denizens) and let that be one of our bigger traits. A case of leading by example I suppose. Just leave the vitriol in other places and come here to give to a larger entity in which we can find ourselves a part of.
Like, if you were to move to the moon colony, how would one contribute? That sort of thing.
And specifically when we see bad behavior we deal with it.
We tell people what comments are inappropriate and we reinforce that with our actions, including banning people who still don't follow the rules.
Wait, what? I wasn't under the impression that r/Harmontown is bad at all. I mean if anything, what you're experiencing is the vocal minority that gets pissy over anything. That's just my opinion though, I can't wait to see how this community grows!
I reckon a lot of those are "in jokes" but I agree in general
Hm, I haven't thought about it like that. Yeah, you're right.
