I only got to see the last ten minutes of the Sharks game (why is Eastern time? or alternatively, why is work?), but they were exciting enough. Highlights:
Aaron Dell got his first NHL win
Brent Burns has a beautiful shiner from Saturday
The PK looked good, especially in the last crucial minute and a half
The power play is apparently still worthless, but you can't have everything
Good resilience to come back again after losing the early lead
That ought to put a spring in the boys' step as they head off to -
It looks pretty sketch from that angle, but the reddit thread has another angle. It looks like the principal point of contact is shoulder to hip (also, Duchene jumped).
Soooo many penalties. /o\ Surely the Pens cannot keep taking this many penalties forever (TWO FACEOFF PENALTIES at the beginnings of POWER PLAYS), but omg.

At least they get a day off first.
True! And it's not a long flight, at least.
Not sure this is the kind of flying that Duchene wants to do: https://streamable.com/odra
Geez, ow. Someone check to see if he's made it back through the stratosphere yet.
...how is that not illegal as hell? That's clipping, isn't it? Isn't that the kind of thing Marchand got suspended five games for last year?

Staying up would have been the better option. The Caps had a really good game.
Wow! And he popped right back up again.
So the Pens finish the game without Letang (knee?) or Sheary (high-sticked in the eye??). /o\
Dallas scored and ofc Nashville scored right back on a powerplay.
At least with Dallas there is a high chance of them scoring again though.
We literally just scored another goal. :D

Blame it on the back to back. It made them penalty prone.
But they had ton of penalties last night, too. They've been on the bad side of a 5-on-3 three of the four games they've played so far.
That was the anticipation of the back to back. And they are just getting practice in on 5 on 3's, they want to be really good at them.
I was told there's supposed to be an intra-Florida rivalry. I'm...not seeing it?
It's early in the season, maybe they get more intense later?
Huh, yeah, looks like a fairly low-hitting game?
