Radio horror
Hey Imzy horror folks!
So I've always been a big fan of late night, paranormal call-in shows like Coast to Coast AM despite being pretty skeptical of the actual content. There's something I've always found to be kind of fun and spooky about late night radio of all kinds. I think it has to do with the paradoxical feeling of both loneliness and intimacy when it's just you and the voice of somebody you'll never meet while you drive down a dark country road.
Anyway, I've been trying to find an audiodrama or something of that nature that either mimics or in some way is about radio. Whether that's a horror story done in the style of something like Coast to Coast AM or an audiobook that follows the story of a person running a pirate radio station is immaterial to me. So how about it Imzy, any suggestions for me?

Sadly not an audio play but make sure you watch the 1980 film The Fog I'd you haven't already. The protagonist is a radio host for the coastal town radio station.
Hmm that one wasn't on my radar at all so I'll give it a gander. Thanks a bunch!
The first thing that comes to mind is Welcome to Night Vale which follows a community radio host in a small town that's full of weirdness.
I'm a longtime listener but I appreciate the suggestion. A more serious version of Night Vale would be right up my alley actually. If you haven't already I strongly suggest giving Alice Isn't Dead a listen too
