Community Settings & Dashboard
Hi!
I mod a community, and I've noticed that every single thing I ever want to do is under Dashboard > Settings > Settings or maybe Dashboard > Settings > Appearance. This is way too many clicks.
Instead, I suggest merging the Community Dashboard and Community Settings page-collections into one (perhaps with two layers of "tabs"? [please don't reorder which tab row is on top]) so as to eliminate one click.

I agree. I've been needing to tweak and adjust things like the long description and the rules, neither of which are actually appearance-related and yet, for some counterintuitive reason, are at the very bottom of the appearance tab. The dashboard itself is a bunch of community overview information I don't actually need to look at or do anything with. I'd love to have the dashboard default to settings at the very least.
I guess I'm ok with the additional clicks as settings normally aren't updated daily after setup is completed.
I agree wholeheartedly - a whole lot of clicking involved to get there, especially if I'm viewing some other community to begin with - the drop down menu on the right doesn't take me where I want to go, since 'my communities' is just a list of every community I've joined, and does not link to the dashboard of the ones I lead.
I think it's easier the way it is as appearance is mostly just for setup stuff and you won't go there often after you setup. Whereas your dashboard contains all your members/bans, the help desk, statistics, and just general things you'll probably use more often.
See, I've absolutely never used anything under the Dashboard. The Settings screen, yes, since I do edit the tags based on user requests, and the temp/set-up appearance stuff is a thing I changed reasonably recently, and I can see myself wanting to change the banner/icon to showcase members' creations.
I have never had a help desk request. I've sent out some invites, yes, but that's 100% of the use of the Dashboard menu for me.
