Official announcements and happiness!
On the fourth day of Hallowimzy, Imzysaurus gave to me...

This contest is over, but a new contest has begun!
This is the day of the great feast. Traditional Hallowimzy meals include candy corn on the cob and caramel apple pie. While the adults roasted the candy corn on the cob and baked their apple pies, the kids would play games like ball in a cup and kick the can.
Anthropologists hypothesize that they probably ate these foods and played these lackluster games because they didn’t have awesome thing likes pizza, cake, and video games. So, in celebration of the feast day of Hallowimzy, we’re going to throw 10 lucky people a pizza and cake party, to be enjoyed with one of the awesome games that’s just been released, a tried and true favorite, or that game you’re soooo close to beating.
Entering to win is easy. Impress us with a comment. Tell us why you deserve a pizza and cake party, who you plan to share it with, and what game you’ll play with your guests. Winners will be selected at random.
We will announce the winners on a post in the Hallowimzy community on Monday and the cake/pizza delivered next week! Submissions end at 9am MDT on 10/30/2016. You can view the official, legalese contest rules here.
A few non-legalese rules:
- You only get one entry. If you enter multiple times, ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
- No tomfoolery. Let's play nice. If you don't, you're disqualified.
- We will turn off comments in this thread at 9:00am MDT tomorrow.
- If you've won in previous days, you can STILL win today.

I deserve it to throw a party with my dad. This is the last Halloween that I'll be able to spend with him and a party with the family would be a nice addition to the bucket list.
I think this one deserves a definite 'random' choice.
Sorry to hear that about you and/or your dad. Best thoughts with you.
It's my dad. We're facing the end of his battle with cancer. Seriously guys, don't ignore skin cancer. What started as a mole has quickly progressed and spread throughout his body.
Gotcha. My dad died of cancer, so I've been there. Sorry to hear it and that message is definitely worth spreading.
Hope it all goes as painlessly and gracefully as possible. <3
Thank you 💖
I've been there with my dad too... Just awful. Hang in there. Sending good vibes your way today.
My mum passed away from cancer over the summer. It's really hard, I'm so sorry you're going through that.
I'm so sorry. I lost my dad very unexpectedly last year right after his birthday and the one thing that brought me comfort in the days and weeks after was thinking about how special we made that day for him. I wish nothing but the best for you and your family and hope you're able to continue making good memories for as long as possible.
I deserve to win becuase I am a single mom to a teenager and that is LOTS of hard work! No one ever makes me dinner or cake! If I win I will spend the time I would have been making dinner to be with my son and we will play World of Warcraft becuase the family that quests together stays together!
High five! I am not a single mom with a teenager, but I have lots of empathy for you on the no one buys me dinner or cake front! I had to buy myself birthday carrot cake again this year. Stay well and Good luck!
Me too! Every year! I grew up in foster care so no bio family to speak of aka the type of peeps that might do that and all my friends are married with a bunch of kids so my birthday isn't even on their radar, let alone a top priority! Lol! While it would be nice in those special occasions to have someone make or buy me dinner, the days I wish for it the most are when I've just had a rough day or sick and mostly not that I want dinner made for me, but for my son! Crazy the little things in life you wish for when you're "alone". Side note, I'm not trying to get sympathy becuase I am very grateful for my life and my son, just funny the stuff you wish for 🎃
Yay WoW family! My daughter isn't old enough yet, but soon...
I run an emergency shelter for adults with developmental disabilities and a pizza and cake party would be an awesome surprise for them. They all have rough stories and a little surprise like this would be great. We would play pin the hat on the witch, carve pumpkins and probably watch some Halloween movies (I know those aren't all games but there's not a lot of games some of my guys could play). Thanks for all you do Imzy.
I work at a public library that is currently hosting EARLY VOTING! Now that is SCARY! We had people lined up around the building on Thursday morning and it has been pretty solid for the past couple days. This goes until next week and then we will have a day of rest and then election day! As you can imagine, parking has been a bit of a NIGHTMARE for staff who just want to get to work and do their jobs while the rest of the state wants to vote.
Anyway, we deserve a cake and pizza party because we haven't been able to leave for lunch all week for FEAR of losing our parking spot! I mean, we tried to put cones in our spaces but they keep MAGICALLY being moved by MYSTERIOUS forces. :| We are tired of PB&J and microwave meals and we would love to just chill out, eat some pizza, and goof off during our break next week.
There a lot of different people I'd be interested in sharing pizza and cake with but... at least for this week, I think the people who should be celebrating most enthusiastically are those who take the time and effort to go our and vote, regardless of who they vote for.
I have my opinions and you have yours but having your voice heard is important and needed for a working democracy. Perhaps the biggest share of pizza should go to those who work the polls, have volunteered for campaigns or otherwise gone above and beyond but honestly, we all have our part in making the world more like the one we wish to see.
oh, you mean...
me?
I deserve a party for 10 reasons:
srry, pizza told me it was an open relationship, I didn't know!
I don't know if I deserve it more than anyone else, but it sure would brighten my day! It's difficult to be happy when I live in an area where rent is so high that I can't get an apartment and therefore can't get a pet. For now I'm stuck living with parents who are mean to me sometimes, and I'm recovering from a breakup too. I try to hang out with friends but they're always too broke. I'd definitely share the party with my brother, because he's always been a blessing in my life!
Sorry about the breakup. Glad you have a brother that's a blessing to you though.
I moved from SF to SLC earlier this year for many of the same reasons that you listed. Rent was SO high it made me sad.
Yeah, I live in the bay area too. Was it hard to find a job before moving to SLC, or did you move and then find one?
I had a few contacts here that helped me find work. If you're looking at getting out of the bay area at some point, that's a good way to go. Ask your friends if they might have some connections that can get you a gig.
Cool, thanks for the advice!
I don't have a good reason why, other then I love pizza and cake. I would share it with my family who also love pizza and cake.
I'd play Poker, Sequence or Charades with my best friends - Jen, Steph, Twyla, and Kim. We've all been through some difficult times lately (divorce, illness, and the death of a loved one). I love Imzy. I love pizza and cake, but I've already won two awesome prizes so I'd love it if someone who hasn't won yet gets a chance. Thanks! 😊
As a technician in the retail pharmacy field, most days can be stressful. Balancing listening to constant angry and often ridiculous complaints from the people coming in, trying to get 400+ prescriptions filled and ready in a timely manner, and doing all of it effectively and accurately so that nobody ends up with the wrong medication and gets sick/dies can be hard work. As such, it can be very cathartic to have a night of feast and fun with a few good friends. And what is a great way to unwind, especially one that fits the season? By fending off the demons and undead minions of hell in a game of Diablo!
Were I to win, I would get three of my closest friends over, where we would fend off the great evils together, protecting the world from devastation. This is hard work, so we'd clearly need the great nourishment that comes from some delicious pizza. And after such a time within the deep dark pits of evil, we all need a little something sweet. So finishing off the night with some cake is a perfect reward for the battles against the darkness.
I was never a pharmacist or technician but I used to work in a pharmacy in the UK and just from my personal experience I will strongly back you up on how crazy it can get. Doing all your work, keeping the patients/customers happy (are they ever happy...) and protecting the head pharmacists whose jobs involve making sure that the doctors didn't accidentally prescribe conflicting medication that could end up killing someone(!!) while monitoring all the other stuff surely can't be easy. Most of the time the customers are sick, so there's the extra level of customer care and support that you're offering, too. And THEN you get inexplicably angry customers who fly off the handle because you won't sell them medicine that is illegal/could kill them! I had a customer throw things at me before because I wouldn't sell her medicine that she told me was for her horse, when doing so would have cost me my job. I fully support you in your quest for cake and pizza!
i don't really deserve to win this... i don't really have anyone to share a pizza and cake party with... but it sure sounds like fun. pizza and cake are a delicious combination!
You can share the pizza with the cake and the cake with the pizza, and they can share you with each other. It will be the most generous gathering ever. 🍕🍰
you are a brilliant and wonderful human being!!!!!
Awhhh thank you :)
I deserve to win because I have a major anatomy exam on Halloween. As a result, my Halloweekend has been ruined by studying! I'd share the party with my 9 closest friends who also have to study this weekend, and we'd probably play Super Mario 64
recently divored and having i hard time with it so a would love to win a pizza party for myself and have some fun i need it
I deserve a pizza and cake party with my fiance to celebrate our engagement, his medical retirement from the military, our housewarming, and my continued remission from cancer. We would share this party with our cats and members of our wedding party. We would play Oregon Trail the card game because then we can add surviving snakebites and successfully fording a river to our reasons to celebrate.
This is not an entry. I just want to say thank you for all you're doing. I skimmed through the posts and realized how much this gift can help imzynauts enjoy and strengthen their existing communities. It appears to be a gift of tasty food, but it's mostly one of joy and sharing. Good form. 💋
Hey Imzy!
Would love to win a pizza party. We are fortunate to have access to a big screen every week and we host movie/game nights. Because this week is halloween we'll be encouraging costumes and spooooky games! The film will be horror (obvs) and also something released pre 1990. We're still trying to decide...
I'd invite my sister, her husband, their two kids, and my parents over and just have a pizza-and-cake family bonding night with movies -- and board games, of course. I'm a big fan of Monopoly, personally, but we'd probably end up playing Scrabble, Clue, and Trivial Pursuit as well -- my family is big into games! It'd be a nice way to unwind, since things have been stressful lately, especially with regard to money; about half the adults who would be present are currently unemployed, myself included.
My husband so deserves a pizza and cake party! Because I've got a nasty cold, tonight he took our son to a Halloween party that we've been looking forward to for weeks. I'm the social one in the family and the party is through a friend of mine he doesn't know. I know my poor husband is feeling terribly awkward and uncomfortable right now. :( I so appreciate the things he does for me and our kiddo, and pizza and cake would be a great way to reward him!
I would share pizza and cake with all of the fantastic people who have been my rides to/from work while I was waiting on an insurance settlement so I could replace my car (totaled in an accident =( ). Dunno about any games, but we could have pizza and cake and it would be awesome!
I deserve to throw a party with my family. My SO and I rarely get to see each other, since he works nights, and my sister has been helping me with the kiddo since I have school. I've had a really rough month, especially last week, which has included such joys as losing my health insurance and not having the paperwork to get on my SO's insurance, leading to not having my meds, and having to drop a class, as well as helping kiddo deal with the stuff he's got going on. We could all really use a party to relax and unwind and appreciate each other. As far as what game, either a group run of Fallout 4 (one person playing, decisions made by the group) or Payday 2.
All October my friends and I have been doing a HORRORTHON online through rabbit and we are wrapping up this weekend with the best we can think of. I'd love pizza and cake to make it a proper movie night and celebrate! Family gets to share in the goods and we'll probably play Overwatch after to try for some of those Halloween skins!
I may deserve a pizza cake party becouse ive never had a party of my own or been invited to one befor... and theirs a first time for everything, i would share the pizza cake party with my kids and their friends becouse they missed out on halloween last year and hardly got candy the year befor,so i want to make this halloween their best halloween yet with this being the first hallowfriendship party they have.we will play musical chares, halloween fishing, ring toss, in costume and than hide n go candy together might end the night with a halloween story game and a contest for the kids,we like to make up twists for are halloween games.
I feel that I deserve to win this because I just endured 8 hours of chemo yesterday (and around eight hours the day before), and hibernating in bed being exhausted and sick as a dog for the whole weekend is all I have to look forward to. Forget Halloween festivities, I got to go back on that same day. Actually, deserving isn't the word I want to use. Getting gooey and yummy pizza and cake would take a long, LONG while for me to enjoy. But they would still make my day! It would definitely make the day of my husband and kidlet, though!
I deserve to win because I have been doing good in school so far, and I'd like to reward myself with some pizza and cake! Obviously I will share it with my family, sharing Is caring after all. We probably won't play games, but instead watch a scary movie or something along those lines :P
🎃 Happy Hallowimzy! 🎃
I believe I deserve this party because I have been an Imzy fan from the start and I would share it with my family... Actually ignore that last answer. No one really deserve this party but you guys, for making such a good foundation, one that brings people together. We wouldn't even have this opportunity if it wasn't for your hard work and dedication. So please treat your selves.
It seems a shame to miss out on participating on a day of Hallowimzy just because I don't actually deserve a pizza party. If I got it, my sister & I would probably have a party of two. We'd veg out on the couch and binge-watch The Walking Dead. (And lbr, we can demolish a scary amount of pizza between just the two of us. Let alone cake.) It's the simple things that make life great. :D
I'd have it with my 3 little ones we never really get to do anything and I'd love to surprise them with a pizza n cake party. We would play many games like hide n seek pin the tail, do goodie bags together
Omg pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeee pick me! I'd totally share with my bf and my dog, Leia. At least, the pizza crust. And omg, have you seen my dog? She'd definitely love me more than she loves me right now, if I shared some pizza with her.
This is my Liea:
She loves pizza crust, they're her favorite thing!
So sharing the love of pizza and cake with me, is sharing the love of sharing pizza and cake with my bf and Leia. Happy times all around :D Oh, and after eating pizza, we'd play tug of war with Leia, because that's her favorite game.
SHE IS GORGEOUS. What a lovely girl!!
Thank you! :) We rescued her from the shelter a couple years ago!
Don't know if I deserve it, but every morning I get a free breakfast at a church who runs outreach for the poor and homeless in my community. I would love to share pizza and cake with these amazing people, although maybe not for breakfast.
They serve breakfast, provide showers, offer employment help, have a computer for us to use, find warm weather clothes,( I live in Minnesota)and offer whatever aid and comfort they possibly can.
Deserve? Hmm... Well, this is a way to get my just deserts. I have three children, who all love pizza and cake. I love pizza and cake, though I don't each much of either anymore since I've been trying to lose weight, I make an exception for special occasions.
We've been through some tough times lately. My son is currently on a 24/7 heart monitor, we're hoping it shows he doesn't need another heart surgery anytime soon, though his last echo looked good. I've got epilepsy and some joint issues. I have two other kids, one autistic (finally diagnosed, so we can get services). Their father, my ex, is blind and I don't consider myself a single mother because we certainly co-parent and live in the same house, I am single and a mother. And it makes my life that much more fun.
So a night off from figuring out dinner and having something sweet would be nice. Especially since this
is me half the time.
We are a house full of gamers. For something like this, we'd probably play Munchkin, because it's fun for the whole group. But we also play a game called "Fantastic Storytelling" which is a game I helped fund on Kickstarter. My kids won't play Mario games with me. :( They all like Minecraft, though, and they'll play together for hours.
I also participate quite a bit on Imzy. I'm a leader in one of the more active communities. And I lead many more. I have invited people to join, and many have. And I love it here. <3 I beta test the app for iphone. And I play whack-a-troll as needed.
While I don't know if I deserve a pizza and cake party, I'd love to get one!
My birthday was last weekend and my sister's was yesterday, so a pizza and cake party would be an excellent slightly-belated birthday present. In honor of the fact that we're both Getting Old, we'd pull out all our old video game systems and try to play at least one game on each. I have an original Atari, a Nintendo, a Super Nintendo, an N64, a Wii, a Playstation, a PS2, and a Gameboy Color all in various conditions. We were just reminiscing about Guitar Hero and the Tony Hawk games so we'd probably start with those, but I'd definitely want to try a couple rounds of Outlaw on the Atari because it's the first video game I remember watching my cousins play before I was even old enough to hold the controller.
Not sure I exactly deserve a pizza and cake party but...it'd be fun. And I could use some fun after the last few weeks of panicked relocating and job searching in an entirely new place. :) As for who I'd share it with...my friend and his daughter, who have both made things much easier. And the game, probably spend the day building stuff in Terraria. :)
I think I deserve it because on my 21st birthday, the big 21. I had to spend it at a kids party (it was my baby cousins birthday too) and everyone decided to throw mine at the same time a "suprise" so I had no idea until we arrived at flipping Chuck E cheese and they wanted me to participate in childrens games, the ball pit wasn't even large enough for me to play in :/
Aww, that's a bummer. I spent my 21st sitting on a couch in my friends' apartment because they said they wanted to take me out "after" their D&D game... so we basically made it to the bar for last call and that was it. It's disappointing when the milestone birthdays don't work out because you feel like you don't get a do-over, but there's no reason you can't make your next birthday special just because it's not a "big" one. My 28th birthday was my best yet--mostly because I planned it myself. :D
I feel ya! My 21st birthday was spent high on painkillers because I'd broken my arm two days before from simply slipping and falling over in the rain, alas. Milestone birthdays are so often a disappointment, I reckon, precisely because I think we mentally set them up to be amazing. Coincidentally, my 28th birthday was my best birthday ever, too! :D I'm glad your 28th birthday was done just the way you wanted it. :)
I need a pizza and cake party because I haven't had a b-day party for years. My birthday is in August, and no one is available in August! I'm graduating hs this year, and I'm planning to have a party anyway, but pizza and cake sure would help!
we deserve a pizza/cake party because i live to pay it forward and to treat my family (esp the boyfriend) to something we all love would be awesome!
Well, it will be a little late for our Halloween party tonight, but we absolutely love having board game nights, and it would be great to surprise everyone by providing food.
My closest friends and I all love video games and several of us work or have worked in the industry, making games. And many of us are making our own indie games now, and make fanart of games and just love games as an art form and so on.
In fact we are already having a party tonight and I'm bringing a WiiU with Mario 3D Kand, Mario Kart, and Smash Bros. I'm also thinking of bringing a laptop with Pixeljunk Eden and Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime.
I would love to throw a cake and Pizza party!!! All of my family live next to each other and we would have a blast and have another reason to all get together! We usually play cornhole and we are open to new games!!! I love pizza!!! Thank you for the chance!!
Pizza and cake sounds awesome! I would share it with my friends and we'd have a Dominion tournament!
I've had some medical hardships lately and my mom's always been there for me. I've been doing whatever I can to show her that I appreciate her and everything she does, but I think a pizza and cake party would really surprise her! She'd never expect it. And I have a full shelf-full of tabletop games that we love to play at family get-togethers. I even made a kid/grandma friendly Cards Against Humanity deck.
We're gearing up for a surgery I need. Unfortunately we have to travel pretty far for it so I expect the year ahead to be long and frustrating, most of which will be spent far away from home. So the next couple months will be the last real chance to do anything fun together.
Thanks for this opportunity and good luck to all!
I deserve one bc I'd share it with my mother who has worked so hard and never gets time off and we would invite her great friends so we could all have fun on the one day she's off work
It be nice to share with my girlfriend because she love's surprises, and I'd stream whatever game my subscribers on YouTube choose =D.
We all deserve a pizza party, and there's enough pizza to go around. Only so much of it on your tab, tho', and I'm puzzled by why you want me to wax creative if you're going to distribute your largesse at random. At least according to Zelazney, Random likes pizza also, and has also been complimented on his largesse, although the puns that followed are for some reason considered unsuitable for company including women and children, as if they were somehow strangers to the concept of buttocks.
Ive missed several birthdays with friends due to a bad relationship so it would be nice to have a big party to make up for it
Share?
I would like a party becuase I've become distanced from my friends, and there is nothing like a gathering with food to bring people together
I'm going to my cousins and Grand parents and throwing a party with them would be nice bcs the youngest cousin Asta is turning 8 and i would want to suprise her. Allthough i'm in scandinavia so i do'nt know IF this is possible
We deserve a pizza and cake party because this week is midterm week for us college people. Being a poor college student we have a diet of ramen noodles and stale bread. We would be ever so gracious if the Imzy goddess blessed us with a grand feast of pizza and cake to help us through this trying time. If we are blessed we will share our pizza with our entire hall while we perform dance rituals in honor of our savior Imzy.
I would probably share it with my parents, who continue to let me live with them even though I'm 26 and they would have been completely justified in telling me to get out eight years ago, and we'll probably watch a movie instead of playing games. My parents are boring and don't like games, as it happens, not even fun ones like Cards Against Humanity. Guess it comes with getting old lol.
I don't deserve it, at all! but since is halloween and we merry on the monsters and such... I guess the prize rather belong to me!
I don't think I deserve this anymore then others that have commented. However if I do win I would have a pizza and cake party with my 3 kids and my parents and husband...just to celebrate the joy of still having eachother and being together.we don't play many games but we would probably go for a walk along the trails after.
I would love to win a pizza and cake party because I'd like to get my fellow cash-strapped college-aged friends together to de-stress and have fun.
Ten People? I don't have that many friends and family who I can have in the same room at the same time, to be honest. But I can gather six people, and we can have a truly gluttinous good time for grandma's birthday, where we will probably play Ticket to Ride or (if I can get away with it) Sim 4: City Living.
Grandma will be somewhere between eighty-five and ninety. She's stopped confirming her age. But she loves parties!
Or possibly for work? I work for an acoustical engineering firm, and we're, er. Dull. But nice! And my co-workers would probably enjoy cake and pizza, and there's actually ten of us! There would not be games, though, unless you count "Lol, American Politics", and "Ooooh, hey, look at this news article!".
(oh my god I'm so boring.)
If I had a pizza and cake party I'd share it with a couple of close friends and immediate family, especially my baby niece goddaughter whom I don't see often enough (evidenced by the fact that she greets me with a quizzical look whenever I visit her -- but pizza and cake should help, right?).
IMZY On the fourth day of Hallowimzy, Imzysaurus gave to me...Oct 29 at 3:09 PM We The Great Travelling Vallejos will be hosting a whimzy, imzy fun filled hallowhimzy party with our neighbors both big and small. These Ghouls and Fools will be entertaining us and themselves with several new renditions of classic group games. SO with out further ado: grap your household chairs and stools we start our game of musical chairs with a HALLOWHIMZY TWIST
Ccreeps around the imzy bush, the Greene chased the time spinner all around the mulburry bush...
I've been struggling a lot lately: financially, emotionally and physically. I can't honestly say that I deserve this more than anyone else but I feel like I need it. I'd probably share it with my best friend and we could play something fun on my Wii. Probably taking turns at skylanders or play a racing game together
I'd throw a party for the people I work with. Their the most pizza and cake loving bunch I've ever met! They've also been kicking butt this year and deserve a little pizza and cake :) We'd also play a quick game of "avoid going back to work by eating as much pizza as possible"!
I'd like to share a pizza and cake party with my coworkers. I was a temp employee and I was just hired as a full-time permanent employee and I'd like to thank my department.
If i won the pizza and cake party, I'd rather the funds allocated to said party were given to a food bank or homeless shelter. And my friends i would share it with, would understand this because they are my friends.
I want a pizza party because I really want to treat my girlfriend and friends to pizza and Overwatch ^_^
I love any kind of chocolate and i will share with my hubby.
I deserve a pizza and cake party because I like to give back and make amends.I'll share it with my family since they never abused me,kept me company, and never gaved up on me so I want to give back.We can play any game like football on videogames whatever comes to mind just to have fun.
I deserve a pizza and cake party because I've been working very hard lately. Just helped run a huge Halloween party for kids! I would share the party with my coworkers, because they are also hard workers. I think we would play Trivial Pursuit or another trivia game. People there like trivia.
Pfft.
I guess an Overwatch party, on one PC, with just me, because I have no friends.
(P.S. This is a joke comment, I don't actually want it as I have no reason to have it, good luck to all who want it!)
I meant a few days ago
I think I should win, because my uncle just passed away a few years ago, and maybe if me and my family had a party, we could celebrate his life. Actually my other uncle also just passed, not to long ago, he was fighting cancer.
We The Great Travelling Vallejos will be hosting a whimzy, imzy fun filled hallowhimzy party with our neighbors both big and small. I'm not entering this one - but this sounds like a SUPER cool idea and I wish everyone the best of luck! <3
