Imzy being friendly to fandom keeps making me think of how friendly Adagio.com has been to fandom. It always stands out to me when sites are friendly to one of my favorite things ever.
Oh, same! I haven't used Adagio as much as I would like (I used to live near quite a few places that carried + sold loose-leaf tea), and I think Pinboard's reaction to the delicious exodus was the first real time I saw us actually courted and accepted. ❤ It's a nice feeling.
I joined this site for fannish stuff, and I found the fact that they want you to add your real name and address to your account for the pizza party thing to be incredibly offputting and invasive.
Also a gift card kind of ruins the simultaneous pizza aspect. Like part of the fun of the party is knowing that 10 other people are also eating imzy pizza at the same time somewhere in the US.
Domino's offers digital gift cards! You need an e-mail, but Imzy's got that already. That's how Reddit's various pizza gifting economies are able to function.
No one's telling you you have to. If you don't want to enter your information, you don't have to do anything. If you want someone to send you pizza, then yeah, they kinda need to know where to send it to. You can't really get mad if someone says "do you want a gift?" and you say yes and then they ask where to send it to. They don't have to give anyone pizza, and you don't have to get pizza if you don't want it.
Of course! We also have cake parties in /gaming!
Can confirm.
Source: I give away cake.
"Somebody should have tea parties somewhere on Imzy somehow," says a shameless loose-leaf tea junkie fanatic.
I actually had this thought when I first of the cake parties!

Anyone up from a trip to Olive Garden?
How does hide?
Edit: figured it out.
*Childhood??
I keep hearing about these pizza and cake parties, but I'm European. I guess I just have to eat my heart out

How are they supposed to send you an actual pizza if they don't know your address, though?
Offer giftcards
The gift card still has to be sent somewhere, unless Domino's has changed something in the past couple years.

Interesting. It's not too long ago that they didn't, because I remember I wanted to give a friend one and couldn't.

I got pizza and a t-shirt from imzy without ever giving them my name. it's "amici" all the day down.
It's awesome that this is a place where someone can ask this question and not be trolled for it. :)
