Tags: Any prohibitted characters? Other limits?
When I create tags to be used in my community, are there any characters I can't use? Obviously commas aren't allowed since those are used as separators. Anything else?

For a moment I considered trolling and saying we prohibited using the
/character but then I decided that was probably a bad idea and would give a lot of people heart attacks and a bunch of nice folks would flee the site.Um, so...
As far as I can tell,
<is a prohibited character. I haven't immediately found any others. I don't know if not allowing that character was intentional or not, I can look into it. People probably want to be able to tag stuff as<3and probably more importantly,<1000 wordstype stuff.Edit: I'm mistaken. The issue wasn't the
<itself, it seems to be a keypress issue. Shift+comma is just recognized as a comma, so it kept trying to function as a separator. I'll look at getting this fixed if we can.OMG that would have been epic XDD
An alternative to the
<1000wcould be0-1000w. Bit longer but it's an okay workaround, no?That could work!
Also, I'm mistaken about it being a prohibited character. It's an issue with shift+comma (which normally produces the
<character). If I copy+paste the character into the tag, it works fine.I put in a ticket to see if we can fix this. :)
You're awesome! ♥
That would have been one massive troll! :-D
(I don't know if you were referencing it, but the delicious site actually did that for real, pulling the slash out of use and triggering an exodus. fan is a tool using animal
Thanks for checking it out so thoroughly.
Yeah I was sorta referencing that. :)
Wanted to update and let you know that the issue with the
<should be fixed. :)Thank you! ( ◡‿◡)ノ✿・:*:・。.
