This is a PEACEFUL community meant for people who refuse to celebrate Donald Trump and his cult of personality .
Did anybody else attend a Women's March today?
If you took part in a Women's March or related protest, post about your experiences in this thread!
I wrote a more detailed write-up about my experiences at the Edmonton demonstration here, but to summarize it was a truly wonderful event that showed a tremendous amount of support and solidarity for those affected by the rise of the alt-right and Trump's administration.

Yes. I did here in NYC. Got there at 2pm just got home (4 hours later).
It was ok. It was my first protest. The signs were great And I spent the majority of the march looking at them. Made me regret not making one of my own. But I finished my pussyhat and was wearing it proudly.
My favorite part was that some people who lived in the area played music for us out of their window. They hung flags and shouted chants (? What do you call them?)
THERE WERE PLENTY OF MEN. So, I don't know what everyone was complaining about. They even joined in a "My body my choice, Her body her choice" chant. It was pretty awesome and supportive.
I was a little disappointed at the lack of BLM protesters and the reluctance to join in BLM chanting, but whatever. That was expected I guess. But still ugh.
There was a SEA of people. Like the kind you see when there are protests in S. America. HUUUGE number that came out. I was proud to be a part of it.
I wish there has been more leaders. More people starting chants and getting people going. It was mostly walking. But still great experience.
I'm glad you had a good time! I'd've loved to have participated in a protest in a city like New York, but I'll settle for Edmonton. There were plenty of men at our demonstration, too!, though they were still an obvious minority; nonetheless, we all participated in chants like "Women united will never be defeated".
I think the fact that this is a global march means that no one is settling. We're doing all we can with what we have.
That said, if you can ever join a protest in NYC, please do. It was safe, easy to leave when you wanted, and fucking majestic and inspiring.
Well, if I can ever afford a flight to and hotel in your city I'll be sure to visit.
Sounds good. ^-^
