I'm new to the group and imzy, but I just got to say I'm so glad I found this community and that it is not filled with endless ads. :) I'm an indie author and have been for about six years. I recently rebranded so I'm basically starting from scratch after...5 participating Finished the first full edit of Bliss Carter. Rewrites, perspective shifts, toughest one yet but hopefully will make it better. On to edit2. So I tried three different publishing houses (smaller LGBT houses) for my initial book, but didn't get any interest. I went ahead and published myself. I'm liking the process, but the only thing is I'm absolutely horrible at the PR aspects. I've tried ... Finished 2nd round of edits on my Space Opera short story yesterday. Will be shipping that off to the editor today. Now to begin edits on my YA SciFi Dystopian book Tested. Fourth in the Brown Rain series. Have started thinking about the next cozy mystery... My next novel, "The Extraordinary Case of Bliss Carter" went to my editor last week, and I finished a 12k plus short story this morning. Feeling productive. I would like some info on how the rich Americans dealt with money in and around 1865. Specifically when they travelled, or spent long times away from their homes and/or in other countries. If anyone knows, or knows of a resource that would be great. Had a 'sprint session' last night, from 6PM to 11:45PM and finished, "The Extraordinary Case of Bliss Carter." Now it goes into the editing phase but the basic story is out of my head. I hope to show some cover art soon.
