Hello
Hey there! I'm C. Louis S. and I write YA scifi/fantasy. I'm also making a tool for writers to easily plot out stories. I'm new to Imzy but this community looks cool

What's the tool? Got a link? I wouldn't mind checking it out.
It's still in the early stages, but here ya go: https://gumroad.com/l/HAsU Tell me what you think!
Hum... Maybe I missed it because I'm looking on a tablet, but I didn't see any screen shots or detailed descriptions of the application. I'm sure the program is nice, but I don't tend to install something without a little bit more to go. You might want to consider putting in screen shots and some more detailed descriptions.
So true … so true. Thanks. I definitely need to spend more time to be able to market it better, but on that site there are screenshots. Where you see the silly penguin logo, you should be able to click back and forth to see some screenshots
Ok, I see them now. For some reason last time I loaded it I didn't seem to get anything to happen when I tapped where those arrows are. But I have the working now... Looks interesting I may try it when I get home to my main desktop. I'm on a tablet this week while traveling.
Oh good it worked, phew. Yeah let me know what you think after you try it out.
It looks interesting. The last large project that needed outlining I worked on I used OneNote. I've been eyeballing scrivener for my next large piece, but I might try your outline tool first. (Being free in beta makes that a cheat test. :)
I'll let you know how it goes if I do.
Welcome to Imzy and this community! What drew you specifically to the YA scifi/fantasy genre specifically? Have you self-published, or are you just interested in indie publishing in general?
I just love scifi/fantasy because of the endless possibilities and worlds that can be imagined. I've self-published a few books. What do you write?
Mostly I write the first half of books. Haha.
Writing is primarily just a side hobby for me, and I've worked at a series of SUPER demanding job right now that means I don't really have time for it... so I don't make a lot of progress. I majored in English and it's something I'm still really passionate about and enjoy though.
My current WIP, for however little I do work on it, is actually an online serial more like a webcomic than an actual book, but, you know, with words instead of art, haha. I guess you could call it a blog? Except that that sounds super old fashioned. I'm trying to build up a backlog before I actually start publishing it though, since I'm not always able to write consistently.
Oh cool. Yeah i know what you mean about the online serial. Those can be fun. I just write as a part-time/hobby as well. Maybe someday it will be my full time gig, but not now for sure. When you start putting it online, you should send me the link!
Sounds like a pretty cool idea. I really need to finish a book (okay 2) I was writing myself. Sounds like a tool I would like to check out.
Cool, feel free to try it. Let me know how i can make it better for you
Welcome to Imzy! I'm excited to check out this tool of yours--it sounds awesome.
oh hey thanks! I'm just hoping to make it useful for people
Hi! I write in that area too :) Hooray!
Cool! What area of scifi/fantasy?
um... just kind of all over it really. I write across a large variety of genres (: currently working on a coming of age/YA dark fantasy/horror
oh interesting. That'll be good
thanks!!! (:
hope to see you around!
yeah, you too
