Are you new to imzy? Come and say hi to the imzy community!
First Day!
Hey Imzy Community! This is my first day after receiving an invite from a friend. I'm kinda excited about Imzy so I'm actually posting this, instead of just lurking. My twitter description says that I'm an "artist, writer, musician, gamer, geek, defender of cats" and this is pretty much still true but I'd add I like pups too . . . oh and beer, beer is pretty great!

Welcome! It's my first day here as well so it's nice to see another newbie. I like games a lot too, specifically Dark Souls 3 and most recently Overwatch (which I am terrible at, but it's fun!). I'm more of a whiskey guy than beer though, although beer is also good.

Currently, I'd say I don't have as much time to devote to gaming as I used to (too busy adulting) but I do still play when I can scrounge a few hours together. At the moment, I'm playing Diablo 3 and enjoying the Season 6 (for the most part) and Fallout 4. I'm kinda excited about the new Zelda coming out later this year and will (sad to admit this) reactivate my WoW account when that new expansion comes out in August (I think.)
And yep, totally love cats!

As far as I'm concerned, being good/bad at gaming doesn't really matter, just gaming matters :) and that you have fun! I also dig card/board games such as Catan, Fluxx, Magic (back in the day for #tbt,) and so forth. Fallout is great, but I've sadly not been able to devote much time to it. The world is very immersive, but with some redundancies (looking at you Preston Garvey!) It's still really great though and the Fallout franchise is one of my favorite RPGs out there. Highly recommend if you get a chance.
And favorite cat breed, hmmmm, well the 2 I have now are just tabbies as all my cats have rescued me (must know I'm a crazy cat lady or something.) But if I were to pick, I'd say my favorite breed is the Norwegian Forest Cat (they are so fluffy!)

Oh British Shorthairs are so pretty and the kittens are just adorbs! I'm 100% a casual gamer - it's what I do to relax/unwind so I generally avoid online gaming/PVP and am more of a PVE player. I just like getting lost in worlds/stories. I haven't played FTL or Don't Starve, but they reminded me of a game a few years back called Bastion that I really loved (I got it on Xbox Gold so not sure if it was available in other formats.) And there's also Castle Crashers - such a fun scrolling game!
Gaming and beer is awesome. Even better when consumed at the same time.
Welcome! I love that someone about Imzy got you to not lurk, I hope it stays that way!
You know, here's the thing - I lurked reddit and never posted because I was just too afraid of being blasted for maybe accidentally breaking a sub's rules (because let's be honest I don't have time to read these while taking a quick mental break at work,) or simply by trollz. I don't need that kind of negativity in my life, especially if my intent was to be helpful or to just post something funny/interesting. Mostly, I think maybe I just didn't really feel apart of the massive reddit community because I'm rather new to it (just a couple of years,) I felt maybe I couldn't really contribute anything substantial, and/or maybe that I was unaware of some hidden internet rules of posting. Mainly, I just didn't feel comfortable. Here, though, my partner sent me an invite, said it's a new forum still in beta by some of the good folks who vacated reddit, and it encourages more positivity. I'm all about that so I immediately signed up and posted my very first day after lurking for all of 20 mins or so. I like the vibe so far and I like being apart of the beta. So great job - I'm excited to see where this goes (and where it takes me!)
