Are you new to imzy? Come and say hi to the imzy community!
Hello!
Hi everyone!
I'm Ben, I'm 20 and I am from Norway (I'm half Nowegian, half American).
I joined Imzy because I heard good things about it on Reddit, and thought, "Huh, a social website that focuses on being a decent human being, sounds nice!", so here I am. I'm used to being really anxious, lurking rather than posting, but for a change I'm trying out what it's like to engage in discussions, etc, rather than just sitting and reading.
I'm a big fan of optimistic thinking, mindfullness, creative activites and learning new things. I hope that through Imzy I'll be able to talk to cool people and learn more about myself in the process! I've started up a little personal blog thing here, but I think I'll need some more time to muster up courage before things really get going.
Anyway, that's me! :)

Hi Ben! I've never been to Norway, but I do really want to go. What 3 things would you recommend to visitors?
I would reccomend you to go to Stavanger, it's super close to lots of fabulous natural formations like 'Prekestolen', 'Kjærag' and the wonderful 'Månafossen'. Visiting them requires you to be prepared for semi-long hikes, but it's absolutely worth it. The city of Stavanger is very cosy, much less busy/touristy than Oslo.
I also reccomend going on the Hurtig Ruten boat! It goes up along a lot of the fjords in Norway and you can even see the northern lights from it if you're there in the wintery months.
Oslo is a nice place to visit too, no doubt, even if it is touristy. Vigelandparken is a wonderful park there, with lots of statues that pays tribute the human body.
There's lots of cultural things to do in Norway, I reccomend them all!
Welcome! Stop by again and re-introduce yourself when you have some content in your blog for us to gawk at... I mean, thoroughly enjoy! 😄
That I will! It's not long now, I just have to make the first content 'good enough'!
Aw, don't stress out about it! ;)
My father's family is from from near Isfjorden, but I haven't been over there since I was small. I want to go and do some hiking over there, but Norway is expensive and I haven't quite managed it yet. But at least I live in a place with good lefse :)
Yes, the prices here are quite steep. :( I hope that you can manage to visit again, I find that there's nowhere quite like Norway. I always 'pine for the fjords' when I am out traveling for longer periods of time.
Lefser are one of my favorite treats, I'm really craving them now, I have to make some tomorrow!
Hi Ben!
Hello there!
