Hello world
I'm really into the intersection of language, math, and physics. I believe in taking care of your mind and body. I love laying out under the stars. That's about it!

Hi, welcome! Can you explain more about what you mean by the intersection of math, language, and physics? Like, are there certain projects or things that you're working on? Those three subjects seem like the cover about half the stuff in the world, so it seems like "life" is just an intersection of those things, haha.
What kind of things do you do to take care of your mind and body? Meditation? What kind of exercise routine? Do you have a diet you follow?
All good questions!
First of all, yes, I do have a very long, ongoing project. Part of it is simply self-education and archiving of common data, and part of it is doing the work myself and trying to come up with better ideas when possible. I can't do any studies, so none of these new ideas rely on new empirical data. Many of these ideas simply come from the translation of the existing data into my own working language. It's a little confusing to describe, but I am working on language and everything it entails (computers that compute it, descriptions of physics systems in it, etc). I'm deconstructing existing mathematical subjects and redefining and reorganizing them according their definitions in my language.
Ya, basically I am working on everything, one way or another. If you attempt to reason about many things in life from first principles, you quickly find yourself asking all of these questions repeatedly. I started several years ago to just try to learn everything. However, rather than memorize everything like anyone with a book could do, I approached each subject like I was going to practice my knowledge in the field. Over time, my paradigms shifted many times. I really wonder if I was re-wiring my brain in the process, as I don't know if I still think the way I used to think. One thing that has remained constant, however, is that I have a very mathematical approach to everything.
For my mind, I just stay mindful of my feelings and my body, and I generally have a desire to take care of instead of use/abuse either. I don't meditate... I do play some sports when I get a chance (racquetball weekly and adult sport leagues at times). I also like to lift weights and swim. Diet-wise, I don't follow any paradigm other than specifically not following popular, fadish paradigms. My favorite kind of food is Italian, so tend to work with those flavors and make simple stuff at home like steak, pasta, and salad. I'm honestly pretty bad about eating out (wasting money and eating less healthy food in the process), partially because my schedule is usually so busy. It's something I'm working on though, and since I just started to settle my life down, I might be ready to get back to eating everything at home.
In terms of a peace of mind, I just need to occasionally find a way to isolate myself from the world and clear my head. Relaxing on a patch of grass, stargazing, listening to music, shooting some hoops, whatever. Maybe this is meditation after all.
Wow, this all sounds really interesting! Good luck!
I'm also a fan of swimming, and I've tried to get into raquetball but I'm just not very coordinated for that. I eat out way too much as well. :)
I guess my title wasn't as witty as I thought it was...
Welcome! Language, Math & Physics makes me think of the Godel/Escher/Bach book I've attempted twice but never finished. Have you read it?
I guess I've always brushed it off as sounding too artsy to be important, but upon further review, it might be interesting! I'll check it out.
My angle is more like attempting to define everything using a more unified method of symbolic representation and computation, attempting to also unify the items which they represent. Sometimes the language/computation side takes care of it for you! I have some thoughts on machine design, for instance. Also, I'd love to apply this to particle physics one day, but I'm not there yet.
