Are you new to imzy? Come and say hi to the imzy community!
Hi Imzy!
Hi everyone! I'm Ally, I'm 24, and I live in Wales. I'm also kinda crap at introducing myself so bear with me!
I joined Imzy because it seems like exactly the type of social media platform I've been longing for lately, a place that's actually built for discussion and conversation rather than just sharing pretty pictures and gifs. But I won't get into the pros and cons of Tumblr here, that'll probably be the topic of my first blog post...whenever I get around to making a blog.
Pretty much my only fandom activity these days is in the 5 Seconds of Summer fandom, and when I get the hang of Imzy I might end up starting a 5SOS community of some kind...as far as I can see, there isn't one yet. To be honest, though, at the moment I'm mostly here for general discussion of general things in general, generally.
Other than that, I'm interested in writing (both fanfic and original, both stories and songs), music (I play acoustic guitar and drums, though I'm not particularly good at either), and myths, legends and folklore (a topic I don't know a whole lot about, but find infinitely fascinating).
So, uh, hi?

Welcome!!!
Thank you!
Hi! I play guitar and drums too haha, I came to imzy for much the same reasons as you and I'm really enjoying it so far (though it can be a bit quiet, I feel like people aren't that used to such a community based platform) Hope you have a good time here :)
Hello! I see what you mean about it being kinda quiet, but I guess that's partly because as you said, people aren't used to it, and also because it's still very young, not even public yet, so people just haven't had the chance to discover it really. I really hope it takes off though!
Hi Ally!
Hello! :D
Hi Ally!
Hi! :D
Hi! [waves]
Hello! :D
Glad you found your way here!
Me too, haha! It looks fab so far.
Hey! Welcome! :) Do you know any good legend from Wales ?
Hi! The first Welsh legend that comes to mind is Gelert the dog, which is a very sad story but probably one of my favourites -- I'd definitely recommend looking it up if you're not familiar!
I didn't know it, it is quite sad. Now I'm learning about the Aarne-Thompson classification systems and it's fascinating :O
Ooh, I didn't know that existed! It's made the librarian in me very happy, haha. I'll definitely be reading up on that!
Hi Ally! I used to wish tht I could visit Wales more (I was studying in Glasgow), but the only Welsh place I've ever managed to go was Cardiff in my teens.
Anyway, welcome! Your introduction sounds exactly like my mood! (fandom person, but with no active fandom... except maybe tracking whatever Zayn Malik comes out with?? lol) I'm not a musician (more of journalling/crafting person), but we seem to share similar interests. :) Hope to see you more around! I'm hanging about at a personal blog under this pseud enjoying longform blogging AND being able to have comment-conversations on posts, ahhh.
Hi! I live up north so I've only been to Cardiff a couple of times but it's a lovely city, I thought! Some of the more remote parts of Wales are absolutely beautiful though.
Ah, journalling! I would love to be one of those people that has a really pretty, organised paper journal with checkboxes and neat handwriting and colour coding, but I'm too lazy and impatient to bother with it so I just have to settle for looking at pictures of other people's instead. :(
I'm sure we'll see each other around!
haha i used to be very gungho about making my #plannerlife decorative etc but it's a lot of work!! nowadays i just use inserts so it's a combo of planners and bullet journalling, as long as i can entertain my fountain pen hobby :D who knows, maybe 2017 will beckon differently.
cya around!
