Things are very shiny here.

I'm a Lyft driver.

    Heya, welcome to Imzy!

What is your weirdest story about driving for Lyft?

Not so much weird, but eventful: 2:30 on a Wednesday afternoon. I picked up a thoroughly inebriated passenger for a 20 minute ride home. He was passed out moments after buckling up in the back. When I got to his apartment complex, I couldn't wake him up. I tried for nearly 3 minutes. At first gently, and then less so. On the verge of calling 911, I tried a splash of water. That did the trick, but he wasn't very happy about it. He woke up swinging, which I was sorta expecting, so I was out of reach.

After he composed himself he asked, "Are we home?"

"You are. Can you get to your apartment ok?" I asked knowing he'd say yes despite the probability that the truth is no.

He insisted he was fine and started walking off. I drove off to get turned around to leave. On my way back out of the complex moments later I saw him crumpled up in the middle of the parking lot. He didn't make it very far at all.

I'm not the best person in the world, but I couldn't leave him like that.

I parked and helped him to his door. Where we discovered his keys and phone were on the floor in the back of my car.

I left him to walk back and fetch them. Two minutes tops, and he's crumpled up on the ground nearly passed out again.

I got him into his apartment and on the couch. Which he spread out on immediately. I told him that despite the fact that all he wants is to do is close his eyes and sleep, he was going to have to drink a glass of water before I left.

I got him one from the kitchen. He drank it and snidely said, "Thanks Mom."

As I turned to leave he sincerely thanked me for my help and reaches into his pocket to retrieve a wad of bills. "I don't know how much this is, but it yours." He said. It was $6.

I don't like carrying cash, so I stopped to grab something to eat at a corner market. Nothing jumped out to me, so I bought a $6 Daily Game Super Box Quick Pick ticket. More due to the fact that it cost $6 than that I had any idea what I was buying. It was a $500 winner.

A wee bit of good Khama maybe.
