Irish "gay people are perverts" politician takes Google RTBF case to court
An Irish judge has been mulling over the country's first "right-to-be-forgotten" legal case, after Google dismissed a Dublin politician's demands for a Reddit post-which labelled him homophobic-to be de-linked from the company's search engine. Google has been inundated with requests to remove links to information that people believe is "outdated or irrelevant," following a landmark ruling (PDF) by the European Court of Justice in May 2014.
