Welcome to the Islamic community! We're here to learn, discuss, and more! All peaceful users are welcome!
!مرحبا - - - Hello!
Hello everyone!
Salaam dear brothers and sisters, and welcome to our non-Muslim friends and neighbours!
I wanted to see if I could start a bit of dialouge amongst our growing group!
Since quite a few people have joined since the last time this was done, I thought it might be a good idea for us to reintroduce ourselves!
If you could tell us your faith (sect if you are Muslim), and hopes for being part of this community, that would be excellent!
Along with your introduction, include a suggestion of what you would like to see in this community! Interfaith dialouge? Discussions with scholars? Poetry? Islamic Art? We may be a small community, but in sha Allah (by the will of God) we will grow to accomodate these requests!
Thank you everyone!

Salaam!
I'm a Jewish educator and cantorial soloist. I'm hear to learn more about Islam. Much of what I do know has been through friends and world religion courses and interfaith activities. But anything you care to share I'd be happy to learn!
I'd love to see art and poetry and discussions and music. I love music.
I am an Episcopalian, started out Roman Catholic, converted at 53 when threatened w hell by a Catholic bishop for voting for Barack Obama. I am here to learn and experience how more of the human race expresses love for God. We are all on this tiny rock together, in this colorful garden of God's creation. Let's work together to make him happy with us.
This is a reason I believe strongly in religious leaders not getting involved in politics.
One of the great current scholars of Islam and Sufism, Habib Umar bin Hafiz, was asked to endorse a religious political party in southeast Asia (Malaysia, I think). He responded by very clearly stating it is the duty of scholars to call people to God, not to political figures.
I'm glad you're here! I hope to learn more as well!
I don't think I've ever heard about Episcopalians aside from the name. Can I ask for some general information about your beliefs? Thank you!
I just saw this, I will be back to answer, I promise!
About me!
I'm a Sunni Muslim with Sufi leanings :)
I hope to be able to communicate more with the Muslim community, and learn more about Islam! Being able to safely discuss the issues we face would also be something that I am looking forward to.
I'd love to see some Islamic art, poetry, and other cultural aspects of Islam flourish here along with wisdom and knowledge!
