Dunkin' walk days + writing
My sister and I are two years minus two days apart. Pretty close in age and birthdays close together at the start of summer. We've developed nicely as teenagers into close friends who are introverted and don't like parties that much so it's not competition to share a birthday celebration, it eases the spotlight and makes it more fun. Someone gave the two of us a Dunkin' Donuts gift card for our birthdays so over the summer we enjoyed taking half-mile (each way) walks to the Dunkin' near our house. Tasty ice coffee, exercise and sister time. Today it hit 50 degrees so we went out for some hot coffee. There's something I'll miss at college. Silly neighborhood walks with my sister will be impossible. And my college's cafe only serves Starbucks- bonus points won't build up on the Dunkin' perks account- but without the Starbucks experience of the name written on my cup ππ But no more tears over coffee brands. Having a writing buddy to text word counts daily is definitely helping me make consistent progress. Right now my manuscript is all broken up into separate documents so I can keep track of sections... I ought to do an overall word count someday. I feel like when I finally finish a full first draft it's going to be wayyyyyy too long, maybe over 120,000 words. But once I've finally gotten everything out I can refine it down to what's needed.

I can understand how bad you miss your sister... That happened to me when I moved to my boyfriend's province. I had to say goodbye to my mother and sister. The memory I most miss is spending my weekends on my grandma's. My sister and I woke up and have breakfast and then we made a chocolate cake until lunch was ready. I helped my grandma to make lunch and then we spent most of our time listen to her stories and play with our little cousin. Now I can't do that anymore... But I can't wait to see them again.
It is great that you had such an amazing progress with your writing. I can't do that, I don't have enough ideas to write. Good job and keep going!
