Why are gamers so entitled?

Don't believe me? Here's some examples. (You probably do believe me, considering this com's context, but this is a nice forward into everything.)

So recently, a new game called Metal Gear Survive was announced, and it's trailer proceeded to recieve tons and tons of flack. Look at those dislikes (oh and by the way, why do people dislike trailers on youtube? I'm pretty sure Konami doesn't go on IGN's channel and looks at the statistics to their game trailers, it just gives the channel a video with a lot of dislikes. Anyway...) This was a teaser to a game, nobody knows it's gameplay, nobody knows it's goals, most people are assuming it's going to be a survival crafting game, which it isn't. It's literally like the last game in the series except with co-op gameplay, like they did in Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. But people are hating it. Why? Because... uh... uh... Konami fired the main director of a game so it's automatically going to be bad? Yeah, that seems like a valid reason! Also the trailer looks bad, so that means the game is going to be bad, and it's a spinoff! Those have never ever been good! /s

Many gamers do this with every game they don't like the look of. Look at Metroid Prime: Federation Force. 88,000 dislikes and everyone is panning it. Now that it's released, lets look at the score. Oh, a 71, so you mean, the game is decent! Who would have thought!?! Sure, it's not as good as the other Metroid games, but it's definitely something I wouldn't mind paying full price for.

It's just really annoying. No one knows if these games (or movies cough Ghostbusters cough) is going to be good. I wish people would just shut up until they play it themselves or a legitimate review comes out. If Metal Gear Survive is released and it's terrible, go ahead, bash it. But just because the game strays away from the series roots a little bit and you don't like that it's not made by a certain person, doesn't mean it's going to be a bad game.
