Some of my first attempts at larger rovers landing on Duna and Eve, I learnd a lot from these adventures. Leaving the front part on is supposed to protect the wheels, however on my run to Eve I attached the rover upside down and did not realize untill I was in a decaying orbit with Eve.

That's really cool! Did the rover have any science on it? That's amazing you could land the rover on eve without a heat shield! Good job!
Ya had seismic, temp, goo, pressure and atmospheric reader. Really was not a good job so much as dumb luck really, though that is KSP in a nutshell. Wish I would have recorded it. It took at least 12 orbits around Eve to air break enough to fall into the planet without over heating.
Here is a better picture of the rover chilling out at Duna. https://i.imgur.com/NyKuu52.jpg Thinking I should grab fraps and due an auto screenshot timer to catch some of the funny mistakes with these things.
Dude that picture looks sweet! It looks like a roving sun farm 😆. I've actually never landed on eve but I've seen how hard it is. 12 orbits wow...
Wow this is really neat! I've never seen a rover as big as that land on Eve, even if it was upside down. Do you know the weight of the rover itself? @Alaeith
It was a horrible pain to get on Eve, I also landed on Eve without a heatshield, i brought one of the inflatable ones but forgot to check the center of mass, so it would cause me to lose control so I had to descend without it.

The rover its self was not upside down just high centered on its mount point. I did get it dislodged and drove it around a bit despite the broken wheel.
