How can we be kind to each other, to other creatures, and to the world?
Creating a life that reflects your values and satisfies your soul is a rare achievement. ~Bill Watterson
128. BILL WATTERSON: A cartoonist's advice
Bill Watterson is the artist and creator of (in my humble opinion) the greatest comic strip of all time, Calvin and Hobbes. I was a bit too young to appreciate it while it was originally published from 1985-1995, but I started devouring the book collections soon after.

Yes!!

hehehehe
I like the "wash dress comb done" cycle. :)
Hahaha. I want my morning to be like this
Me too! Let me know if someone in Discord can program a machine to do this. :)
:D
Seriously you have some massively talented people in the Discord room! :)
yes! they made a bot and everything :D more than i know how to do.
You were their inspiration.
Without you, no place to make a bot.
aw, thanks!!
You've survived some very bad things so you could inspire people.
I like that.
What a great way to see it :D
Is that how you see it too?
I think most of the time, yeah!!! Some days I don't feel inspiring. Like if I sleep til noon ;)
If someone else tells me though, I think yeah I must be having a positive impact even on those days :D
If you sleep till noon you're doing 3 hours better than Jessica Jones. :)
You have a positive impact on me every day we talk.
There's actually a formula to living a life like this, but it also requires a huge open mind to believe in it.
I don't know if you've ever seen Zen Pencils @alivelystory but there are some very good things there!
No! I need to check this out. Especially as Bill Watterson is probably my biggest creative hero ❤
That's why I chose this one to post but there are 200 other good ones on that website too.
The creator of Zen Pencils chooses a great quote by a great person and then makes a comic to illustrate it.
That's really cool :)
Yeah, it's a fascinating and unique website. The artist gets better with more practice, too.
I guess that's true for all of us. The more we practice, the better we get.
