Graphic Design Project Illustration 2

For my graphic design project but I'm still trying to get this grayscaling down. I feel like there's some anatomy problems lol...but as always feedback is welcome! :)

Good start! I like the face. See if you can snag a friend to pose for a reference shot...doesn't have to be the exact pose, as you won't be copying it, just close enough that you can compare where the anatomy may be getting a little wonky and make changes.

Once you've got anatomy straightened out to your liking, start working up the lighter values as you go to continue giving it form and a light source. Your darks are pretty good, but the lightest I see at the moment is a middle gray.

So I actually reenacted this pose and realized the human arm can't bend like that. I feel like this is my problem of going off of my mental library when it wasn't strong enough. The other hand might be off in the way it's holding the violin. I should probably reenact more of my poses to see if they're reasonable lmao.

Yes I'm getting those darks down which is good better than before lol. I'll add in some lighter colors too it since I see what you mean with the middle gray being the lightest. But I do like how the face is turning out too haha. It's possibly the best face I've painted so far...

In terms of anatomy, the arms look a bit...off. I can't really put my finger on it, but it looks like the length of the upper arm and lower arm are out of proportion. Greyscale looks pretty good so far, silhouette is well defined, just keep working at it :)

I knew it was those arms lol. I think majority of the problems are coming from the right arm...it's not humanly possible to do that pose. But at least I know now that it's a problem that I have to tackle. Thanks for pointing out the arm proportion I'm currently fixing it and it looks better already :)
