Some minor and mayor problems. HELP ME! ;__;

Hi guys
so I redrew my earlier picture and I like the new version. But there are some things I'm struggling with.
- It's the first time I'm using Kienans technique of sculpting. And I have no idea how to draw hair that way. It looks like total garbage :( Any tips?
- Weapons in perspective..... I mean... how? I tried reference photos but they never have the right angle for me
- Any ideas how to come up with a simple to draw but nice looking background?

First of all, looks really nice :D I just think the arm holding the sword looks a bit weird, shouldn´t be that hard to fix :P
I don´t think that I can help very much but:
I think Kienan has some videos about hair, just look on his channel :)
Kienan also got some tutorials on that topic exspecially, I mean weapons in perspective.
Something that fits the character I would say. Maybe some battlefield (doesnt have to be extem detailed) or something like that, because she holds her sword down to a person lying on the ground I guess? Annnnnd Kienan also got a video for backrounds, maybe even more than 1.. the one I can think of right now, is the one with Jinx.
I hope at least something helped... xD
Thx for your advise. I searched through his channel again. I even found the old hair tutorial. But it didn't help a lot. I will probably just erase the hair and start again.
the problem with her arm is probably theprotection sleeve thingy I drew on... after a night of sleep I see the problem there myself and will fix it
"after a night of sleep I see the problem there myself and will fix it" That always helps :D
Hiya c: So far, really nice start! U You got such good detail in :D As for tips
For now, instead of focusing on JUST the sculpting technique, just think of hair as a shape, and think of where the values are. It'll help you pin point where the shades will go better.
Perspective is pretty difficult, and I think the only way to learn is to keep going at it. References are awesome! Keep using em! But a really good way to learn perspective and foreshortening is starting out with learning how to draw boxes (and in general shapes) in perspective. It may come to you easier with weapons.
Bringing up Kienan's advice again, usually when you're stuck on what to draw, it's a good idea to just start with tiny thumbnails. Just make little boxes and doodle whatever you can come up with. Overtime, you should start to find one you like, and maybe even think over a particular background better. It'll give you a visual and you can actually see what works for you!
Hope that helped :D
Thx for your suggestions! I'll try thumbnails. It helped me with her pose itself too. Never thought of doing it for the background.
I guess the sword alone will be way easier when i've fixed her forearm.
Just wanted to pop in and say this is looking rad so far, and I want to see the finished piece!!
